This is the first instalment of David Forbes first Hal Stucker album Electronic Excursions (forthcoming on Pure Progressive in a couple of months time). The Hal Stucker sound is dance legend David Forbes (Public Domain, Optimus, Active Force, Tekra, Arkadi etc.) exploring his progressive side; deep, emotive, melodic, expertly crafted dance music. Nestling into a 120bpm groove, Monolith expresses its midnight mood by way of lush pads, cavernous vocal-clip reverbs, glittering arpeggiated sequences, subterranean bass tones and an expertly crafted arrangement. This is a fabulous taster of what is to come.
