A song in 3 movements inspired by Valve's Half Life franchise. The 3 movements tell the story of humanity within the Half Life universe.

The first movement is Evolve. This song represents the rise of humanity and all of it's history, ending with the Resonance Cascade and the 7 Hour War.

The second movement is Control. This song represents the Combine occupation of Earth, and the struggle for freedom that humanity has. This song borrows heavily from CP Violation by Kelly Bailey.

The last movement is Combine. This song represents the abominations the Combine created from humanity, and the end state in humanities evolutionary cycle under Combine rule.

My primary focus when making this was to reflect the process of evolution humanity went through, especially the forced evolution that the Combine put humanity through to serve their purposes. Themes are repeated throughout, but become darker and less pronounced by the end, just as humanity can be seen in the transhumanist future, lacking the same spirit as it had in the beginning.
