The last few months have been weird; I've graduated high school (started college on September 6th!) and there's been a lot of change in my perspective, and around me in general. With the adjustments I'm making, I've kind of entered another creative drought, getting stuck in what sounds the best instead of what feels like me, what expresses who I am as an artist.
This is an ambient piece I made one day when I wasn't feeling my best. It was a completely impulsive session; I sat down for an hour or two and just had fun with music again. It's unexpectedly become one of my favorite songs I've made, and I knew I wanted to have it out in the world.
Art as a whole is usually a very impulsive thing for me; Garden, Raincoat, FloatBackHome, and now this, all resulted from a very sudden decision to just create. Sometimes we just need a reminder of what drives us, and making this helped me see that so much more. I hope you love it as much as I do.
