THE QUEEN

This is the description I gave to the Spotify Editors. You have sell and describe the song, so I did the best I could, like I always try to do.

"The Queen is a story song! LIKE “Here comes the Bride,” 75 bpm-Majestic feel/ 1st Class. EDM transitions, mostly chill, Happy. Melody based/driven,4 chords developed in sections. 1st verse chamber strings, then horn takes a melody, harpsichord/piano share the accompaniment. BIG Electronic CHORUS wobbles add contrast to softer sections. Bridge provides insight into the Queen’s life journey not always happy adds color. Ending: walking down that aisle with a HUGE FINISH. Royally good for Mom's Day!"

I always feel the pressure before making a video. It was hot, real sunny and I was wearing all those clothes. See! I don't mind at all, because I do it for you, to help you to be happy!!! Get it through you head. Happiness is a right! My story, I didn't mean to infer that he died, ok. It sure looks like that in the video, but he's not DEAD! He's right here writing this YouTube description, saying HELLO!, HELLO!, and waving love from my heart to yours.

The Queen"  wasn't simple song for me to write. Ideas are one thing, but sounds and rhythms have to be worked out. Timing, conflicts, structure, all of these take time.I don't listen peeps saying, "Oh, classical music is dead, nobody listens to it anymore." I recently did a Beethoven REEL on FB that many people seemed to enjoy better than that other stuff I was doing. Back to The Queen.

I created & posted a shopping list for The Queen on Instagram.
I listened to my song and created my storyboard (starts like tic tack toe crosses). I've learned to stay organized and label all of the segments so I can easily arrange them in the parts of the song I want later. In addition, I separated the script by character so I could do each one separately. 

I was in the park, I was literally in tents (intense) when they came and took my tent away (sad). Yes, I was filming in a tent outside and it was hot!!! Then they took it. I sat there with my beat box just like you see me in the video. I had no idea what I had on film since it was sunny hot and I could not see my screen for the life of me.

I was so exhausted and I had no idea what shots I had or needed to get.  Filmed on a Monday, entered and to go a little over 1 minute on Tuesday (didn't have the energy to do my 2nd to the last of 30 reels of new music challenged [FAILED] and for good reason. I was making this video! 

I dedicate the video to my beautiful adult children who I love so much. This is for them, to never be afraid to: GET OUT of the BOX; be yourself; be who you want to be, no matter who will PUT YOU DOWN. A 2nd dedication is for Red Skelton, probably my favorite clown growing up.

I wanna be YOUR CLOWN, I’m only here  for your ENTERTAINMENT. We’ll laugh through it all and come up the other side.
