After a string of releases and headline DJ sets with the label as one half of the British duo Full Intention, Gray once again demonstrates his exceptional skill with female vocals as he works with one of NYC's most accomplished soul singers Kelli Sae. This package features the original, 'You're Gonna Make Me Love Somebody Else', alongside Gray's own remix in which the prolific producer's classic sound and orchestral approach is on full display; strings and brass paint a picture of the city as a bass guitar foundation provides an irresistible groove.

A long-time friend of Defected, the prolific house legend Sandy Rivera collaborates with certified house legend Mike Dunn. New York meets Chicago as Rivera is joined by his fellow Defected House Master, and together the two deliver some American house music excellence. ‘I Won’t Let Go’ features vocals from London’s April Morgan, a frequent collaborator of Rivera who previously worked with him on 2013’s ‘Fall For You’, now a modern record box staple. They are joined by Mike Dunn, whose signature vocal style has featured on some of house music’s most memorable tracks over the past three decades. As the two vocalists perform over the effortlessly melodic composition, Rivera displays his hypnotic production skills with subtleties that deserve a close listen.

Fine Records is the collaborative product of Johannnes Albert (for Frank Music fame) and klamauk's Tilman. While the first release saw the producers joining forces, the second drop was a solo release from Tilman. For the third EP, Dancefloors & You & You, it is the Berlin-based Johannes' turn at the helm, and it is our pleasure to present to you the first cut off the record.

Johannes is no stranger to employing looped discofunk samples in his productions, and "All Around" certainly fits this mold.  The track builds on a heavy disco style kick / clap and layered percussion and a funky bassline. As the lead, an irresistible postdisco era sample repeats and rises to a filtered climax. The female lead vocals of the original are slightly teased in here a la Tiger & Woods before dropping back into the main groove. It's a sweet, feel good disco house track that's certain to motivate dancefloors.

The Toy Tonics crew is known for being addicted to two things: vintage music machines and old vinyl. 100% music aficionados. On the „Tonic Edits“ series the crew shares some of their favorite old tracks - in a reworked version. 
This time COEO get back in time. They destroyed a couple of 1970ies disco jams. Recut & repasted them. And gave them their special COEO touch. Of course it’s irresistible! 
This release comes on vinyl only first. Later maybe could be out on selected Digital sellers.. not sure yet.

Presenting his long awaited full-length album, the king of disco re-edits Dr Packer graces Glitterbox Recordings with six brand new mixes alongside twelve of his rare cuts and well-loved treasures. Dr Packer’s Different Strokes features Dr Packer versions of soulful house favourites, disco standards and groove-laden floorfillers. Following two DJ mixes from Dr Packer featuring bonus tracks, the album kicks off with a bonafide classic. Dr Packer’s take on Soulsearcher’s ‘Can’t Get Enough!’ maintains all its most iconic elements, the euphoric vocals and timeless groove given a fresh-sounding elasticity. Another highlight and an album exclusive, ‘Big Love’ from Peter Heller’s Big Love is brim full of Dr Packer’s unmistakeable warmth, cowbell accents giving the groove some bump. Next is Dr Packer’s remix of The Shapeshifter’s evergreen ‘Lola’s Theme Recut’ followed by another album exclusive, Candi Staton’s ‘Hallelujah Anyway’. Ron Hall & The Muthafunkaz featuring Marc Evans ‘The Way You Love Me’ (Dr Packer Extended Remix) is the third new cut, followed by another new remix for this album, Dr Packer’s version of Johnny Corporate’s ‘Sunday Shoutin’’, picking up the pace with a funking bassline to suit any dynamic disco set. More highlights include Dr Packer’s versions of ‘When Love Breaks Down’ by The Shapeshifters featuring Teni Tinks and ‘Set It Out’ from Purple Disco Machine & Boris Dlugosch, both brand new remixes. Named King of the Edit since the 1980’s, pioneering Manhattan DJ Danny Krivit’s (aka Mr K) latest delivery instils the title bestowed upon him some 30 years ago. An esteemed selector Danny’s prolific remixing and production capabilities have touched hundreds of records – with his signature flare shaping the New York City sound. Opening the two-track release is Danny edit this summer’s seminal track The Vision’s ‘Heaven’, interweaving a gloriously groovy bassline with Andreya Triana’s vocal to produce an extended, DJ friendly mix that he sent crowds wild with at Dekmental Festival. Up next, Mr K delves a little deeper into the Defected catalogue, trying his hand at The DangerFeel Newbies’ ‘What Am I Here For (Original NDATL Vocal)’. Danny’s stripped back version extends the jazzy, percussive original, as velvety smooth vocals and elegant keys bring this expressive and sophisticated release to a close.
