The GRAMMY nominated and Ivor Novello award-winning Mousse T. is back on Glitterbox with ‘Take It Back’ featuring DAVIE. The esteemed label is the perfect fit for the German house pioneer whose infectious blend of house, disco and soul has delighted party-goers at Glitterbox events for many years. Now five years since his last single on the label, Mousse enlists the help of NYC vocalist DAVIE, who signed with Defected in 2020 for his debut ‘Testify’, blending house music with gospel affirmations. Co-written by the lauded British DJ and producer Ben Westbeech, ‘Take It Back’ demonstrates the artists’ ever evolving style; a 90s throwback feel is created with Davie’s flawless, RnB inspired vocals working seamlessly over Mousse T.’s effortlessly chic production.

French maestro Art Of Tones collaborates with one of house music’s most celebrated artists Inaya Day for an unforgettable Glitterbox release, ‘Give My Love’. A moniker of longstanding producer Ludovic Llorca, Art Of Tones was created in the noughties as an outlet for his edgier house and disco work, leading to celebrated releases including certified house anthem ‘The Rainbow Song’ and his first Art Of Tones album ‘Unbalanced’ in 2018. For this latest release, Ludovic enlists American songwriter Inaya Day, the hitmaker known for seminal house classics including Mousse T.’s ‘Horny’, Harry Romero’s ‘Rise Up’ and Prince cover ‘Nasty Girl’. From the very start, ‘Give My Love’ is dripping in the modern sound of disco these two helped establish, with Inaya’s powerful vocal and songwriting prowess supported by Art Of Tones’ expert instrumentation.

The Shapeshifters teases the deluxe edition of their 2022 studio album ‘Let Loose’ with a remix from Sophie Lloyd. The long-awaited release on Glitterbox saw Simon Marlin work with luminaries from the world of disco, house and soul like Billy Porter, Joss Stone, Kimberly Davis and Teni Tinks, and the album succeeded in pushing The Shapeshifters sonic aesthetic, retaining the brassy, string flourishes and colourful instrumentation that we have come to expect. A year later, ‘Let Loose: Deluxe’ bolsters the original LP with remixes from fellow Glitterbox mainstays. Brighton-based soul house expert Sophie Lloyd remixes Simon’s Talking Heads cover ‘Slippery People’, upping the tempo for the late disco nights on the light-up dancefloor.

Parisian producer Young Pulse collaborates with London artist Fleur De Mur for ‘Smooth Sweet Talker’, a sparkling disco release on Glitterbox. The two share a reverence for disco and its many sub-genres; Young Pulse’s energetic sets and remixes encompass everything from boogie and house to funk and nu disco while Fleur De Mur specialises in serving familiar yet fresh disco vocals alongside sleek songwriting. ‘Smooth Sweet Talker’ is a love letter to classic disco with all the bells and whistles; Fleur’s vocalisations and distinct spoken word sections punctuate Young Pulse’s quintessential bass guitar licks, brass instrumentation and striking string runs all giving that throwback feel.
