Hypnotic pieces from Mike Slott, Claude Speeed, Matthew Dear & many more have been edited and remixed by CJ Mirra in 3D (giving a feeling of being inside the music) onto a highly collectible USB stick and housed inside a bespoke hand crafted boxset with a 3D-printed Cosmonaut by Swedish digital artist Andreas Olsson. The Colour8 have crafted a truly exceptional release with Space Trix, Vol. 1, not only do the sounds captured within represent some of the finest work from the all star line up of producers involved but having it remixed and edited in 3D gives a completely new dimension to the music and when listened to on headphones has a surreal effect of full immersion like someone has dropped a bottle on analogue bubblebath inside a flotation tank. As an added bonus it even comes with a one-of-a-kind 3D-printed astronaut to boot. Opening with new material from LuckyMe's Mike Slott, 'Keep Me Here' is a super slow moving espionage journey through the nightside of Deckard's apartment while CJ Mirra starts off with what sounds like a Lee Gamble recollection of a half-remembered Detroit techno classic but with the drums long forgotten. Neon Jung keeps things on a classic AI tip while Claude Speeed paints his new age beats with a soaring cinematic brush across the audio sky built up on Air Loom. Elsewhere Matthew Dear lets drift a rolling tech-house cruiser as heard from a few thousand feet below and later highlight 'Moon Ego (Interlude)' by International Peoples Gang could be an off cut from that Public Info library comp Tomorrow's Achievements. After a 2-year hiatus from the mothership, Kim Brown return to Just Another Beat with a new 12“, including the brand-new track “Visiona 1970“ and an exceptionally impressive remix of “Nabi“, one of the outstanding tracks off their debut album “Somewhere Else It’s Going To be Good“, beautifully executed by Quarion.

It was Quarion aka Yanneck Salvo himself who approached the Berlin-based duo, being eager to work on his own version of the track and taking it to the next level. The result equals en epic transformation. Using only the key melodic elements of the rather quiet and lush original, Quarion’s version is much more than a remix. It’s more like a cover version, showcasing his own unique approach of how to first dismantle and then carefully, bit by bit, rebuild the peak time moment of the dancefloor. Clocking in at just under 10 minutes, to be enjoyed best from start to finish, this is a voyage extraordinaire.

On the flip, “Visiona 1970“ presents Kim Brown in a glistening rainbow of deep colours. With freely shuffling hi-hats, intimate percussion and some of their most beautiful melodies yet, this track marks a turning point for the project. Having mainly released remixes for other artists recently, Ji-Hun Kim and Julian Braun have been constantly working on a new album as well, which will finally see the light of day not long after the release of this EP. In the meantime, please enjoy these 2 tracks.

Parisian dance music veteran DJ Koyote has just reactivated his Supergenius imprint and the first release is a split EP featuring two tracks of his and two others produced by Brittany luminary Christophe Le Gall aka Too Smooth Christ. The Koyote sound has distinctive live feel : you can visualize him jamming over his keyboards – and having fun at it. Seine St Denis Hills is a dark house tune with an eighties plastic sheen and ominous vibe, yet it has an almost comical simplicity to it that makes it unmissable.
The same vaguely parodic but at the same time very serious sensation keeps vibrating in the second track, «Poly800 Bass», a roaming stomper with just a few elements but massive impact. TSC’s «Face Reality» is a more hyperactive affair, but shares the eighties urban music inspiration : freestyle synths and raw deep house bass are all over the place. «Arp-Emogol-Peggio» stays in the edgy, angular electronic zone but adds a mysterious touch to this honest-to-goodness EP. Those four tracks are native speakers of the dance language and manage to use it per- fectly with no need to get sophisticated, over produced or post-modern. They just make you feel the right way. Glitterbug is a composer, producer, DJ, artist and curator; standing tall in all musical genres he puts his fingers on. Be it deep techno, remixing, ambient works, writing music for films or audio-visual installations, his musical language always resonates with a score-like, visual approach.
Glitterbug draws from the manifold of his social and global experiences to bring substantial content to his delicate sounds. With masterful production and greatest attention to broadened frequency and smallest detail, he has managed to create unique audio landscapes; sonic experiences, emotive and powerful.

It’s his unique, heartfelt and artistic approach to club music that won him international praise, breaking definitions and expanding borders; His live-sets are an analogue prodigious fest; profuse sounds envelop the dance-floor, defined and intense, building moments of abyssal melancholia and points of ecstatic rapture. His long-established collaboration with Israeli visual artist Ronni Shendar, has become an indivisible element of his performance; creating a cinematic, stirring and encompassing experience.

His music and remixes have been released on internationally acclaimed labels such as Ware, Wolfskuil, Mule, Notown, Ghostly, False-Industries, Ki, Obsolete Components, and of course his own c.sides label.

Rene Passet of Dutch DJ Broadcast Magazine crowned Glitterbug as “Germany’s best kept techno secret”, MCD France titled him”The Derek Jarman of Minimal Techno”. Germany’s leading recording magazine ‘Keys’ gave his debut album a perfect 10/10 for both musical content and sound production. Intro Magazine said of his last album ‘Privilege’ that it is “destined for nothing less than eternity” and Germany’s De:Bug Magazine wrote “when one listens to Glitterbug’s music, it feels like listening to a better world, a utopia without words”.
