Panorama Bar resident and Love On The Rocks label head Paramida joins us for the 92nd edition of the Phonica Mix Series. 

Since moving to Berlin in 2010, Paramida has since become a key figure in the cities ever-expanding electronic music scene. In 2014 she launched her Love On The Rocks label which has seen releases from Massimiliano Pagliara, Telephones, Fantastic Man, Elles, Violet, Alex Kassian and more.  

Having spent five years working at Oye Records, Paramida is certainly no stranger to digging. Each of her varied DJ sets brings a new beacon of pleasure and surprise. Blending proto-house to trance, percussive gems with high-energy techno, Italian dream house and irresistible new beat. Sounds that are very much reflected in this here recording. How amazing is it, when your daughter steps in the same footprints? This is what Karina did and now she is playing DJ sets with her dad together.

Marc Schneider 
Hailing from Hamburg, he's an influential figure, shaping trends and breathing life into music. As the gatekeeper of Word and Sound, he's overseen every noteworthy piece of vinyl in the country. From Panorama Bar in Berlin to Fusion Festival, his DJ prowess has graced iconic venues worldwide. With sporadic releases and remixes, he's endeared himself to record-buying aficionados. His clandestine role at Story, a cult label, showcases his impeccable taste. His motto: Technique can be learned, but rare is the impeccable taste!

Karina Schneider 
Karina Schneider has been involved in a dynamic space of electronic music growing up and embarked on a quest to explore the realms of sound. When she isn't playing techno, she enjoys playing house together with her father.

OYE Podcast #9 Karina & Marc Schneider

Quest's RA Podcast starts slowly, with a thrum of synths that feels like watching a rocket take off in slow motion. Before you know it, you're in outer space, floating through zero gravity with waves of synths and gentle breakbeats. The Italian DJ is a premiere selector in the world of digging for rare records, but his outré taste shouldn't be confused with willful obscurity. He's a beloved DJ partly because of his approachability. There's a serene, early '90s feel to RA.915 that's reminiscent of some of the earliest and best ambient techno.

When he's not DJing, Quest runs the label La Nota Del Diablo. He's only put out two records, including this year's Red Tears EP from his dear friend (and fellow esteemed DJ) Christian AB, which RA's Henry Ivry described as "a careful balance of late-night tension and early morning twilight." That's not a bad way to describe Quest's RA Podcast—if it's not a soundtrack for an astral journey, then it's perfect for an afterhours, for when the laid-back vibes come to a simmer for one last stretch of dancing.

For the first time in our 25-year history, we are releasing a live solo recording by Craig Richards from the club. 

“This mix was recorded on the second of December at a Continuum party. I commenced just after five and finished at nine. The heady combination of nostalgia coupled with the past, the future and more importantly my daughter dancing next to me, resulted in a mix that I felt happy with. Historically, I have been very self-critical and have chosen not to release many mixes. Across nearly four hours this one seems to encapsulate the twenty five years of playing at fabric. In 1998 I was invited by Keith Reilly to play weekly at what was an imaginary nightclub. I had no idea that experience would continue for so many years. Playing vinyl on that sound system and mixer is highly exciting and a joy in itself. I am delighted that this has been my method of sonic communication and remain deeply grateful for my ongoing residency.” - Craig Richards


Craig will be joining us at the club on 30th March to celebrate his 25-year residency with a 25-hour Continuum party.
