A Brief History of Goa Trance, By Talamasca:

The idea to produce this album first came to me when I was just a kid in this scene
back in the late 90s. It has taken me more than two decades to finally make this idea
into a reality.
The idea became a real project in June 2015 when I got the encouragement I needed
to begin for real. I was playing with Astral Projection in Belgium for a Dacru
Records party. I was talking with with Avi and Lior backstage and I mentioned that I
had this idea of making one track that was composed of the best parts of three of my
favourite Astral Projection tracks . They were very excited about the idea and encouraged me to do it.
Three months later in August 2015, I premiered the Astral Projection “tribute” at the Psy-Fi Festival in 
the Netherlands. It tore up the dance floor!
So I decided to make a full album of “tribute tracks” using this formula : I would take 
my favourite tracks from my favourite bands of the golden era of Goa Trance and make 
one track that would capture (and honour) the best sounds, power, spirit and innovation of those original tracks. 
It wasn't easy. I had to recreate everything. I had to put all the tracks into one 
project that was in the same key. And then I had to get the authorization from all 
these amazing artists ( and now friends...) to publish these new tracks I was creating. It was 
a bit dangerous as these tracks represent the history of this music to many fans.
The actual originals of these tracks were hard to pin down. It has been over 20 
years since some of these tracks were released. They were on a variety of different 
labels, and even done under different band names. But more than that, these tracks 
are considered sacred to many in the global Psytrance community. I had to be very 
careful with what I was doing. I was tinkering with the greatest hits by the legends of the genre.
I spent more than a year and a half arranging the elements of each of these tracks. I produced different versions and tested them by playing them at parties. I did NOT want to make "covers" of the tracks that sounded exactly the same as the original.

I had to do this because I LOVE THIS MUSIC ! I loved the challenge of
making a new track from the ideas and creativity of my friends that produced this
life changing music in the first place. And to do it more than once, enough times so
that I had enough tracks for an entire album.
I have worked and reworked each track. I have arranged and rearranged. I have
changed melodies and restructured the new versions until I was satisfied with them
all. I had so much fun making these tracks, that I can only hope you will have the same fun to listen to them !

Here is the set I recorded @ Belantara Gathering Alternative Stage in the Malaysian Jungle. Its a set played from 19:30 till 21:30 pm ranging from 90 to 135 bpm, crossing different styles and played with the intention of preparing the crowd to the upcoming night!!
Would like to thank the Epic Tribe Crew who is able to put together such an amazing gathering and of course all the artist involved in the set!

PSYMBIOSIS @ BELANTARA FESTIVAL 2018 ALTERNATIVE STAGE

Quantum entanglement is a physical phenomenon which occurs when pairs or groups of particles are generated or interact in ways such that the quantum state of each particle cannot be described independently of the state of the other(s), even when the particles are separated by a large distance—instead, a quantum state must be described for the system as a whole.

This cosmic love story is about when Mars and Jupiter connected with each other through the quantum entanglement, told from a psychedelic perspective.
