Deekline & Wizard's new album "Back Up, Coming Through" features DJ Guy's Ghettotech remix of their "One In The Front" track, featuring DJ Assault on vocals.  The remix was originally intended to be released alongside others but Deekline & Wizard liked it so much that they decided to include it on their album.  It's a pretty stripped down booty track with snappy drums and some high-falutin' strings going on.
    
  The album is out on April 13th 2009.

The French mainstay is headed up by Gautier Scaringella, aka Clad which places an emphasis on forward-thinking artists from all over the world, showcasing artists such as Kevin Murf, Christian Coiffure, Reality Check & E-Unity. Clad's eagle eye comes into the fray by uncovering superb artists such as Doline and Ltd Colours, each with their own debut EP on the French imprint.

The label has gone from strength to strength over the past twelve months, showcasing how diverse the palette of this label is becoming. From the polyrhythmic techno of qwqwqwqwa to the intricate sound design and ambient soundscapes of Kincaid. Clad has set the foundations for a superb imprint that is set to stay for a long time.

Their one-year compilation celebrates heavy-hitters such as Henzo, Sputnik One & Tristan Arp and then flipping it to the more intricate sounds from K Wata & Mistareez.

Grid has really come together with an all-star lineup for this record, a beautiful demonstration of an exciting beginning.

hree years after their first collaboration, culminating in the release of “The Passenger”, Om Unit and Martyn are back on 3024 with another four track exploration of tempo and vibrations on a new EP called “AJ^6”.

The two ‘veteran’ producers have been highly prolific over the past years, with Om Unit making waves with his massive Acid Dub Studies project as well as new work under his Philip D. Kick alias, and Martyn spearheading and mentoring a robust group of new musicians responsible for no less than five (!) compilations on 3024. What brings the two producers together in the studio once again is the constant hunger for new and interesting sounds on the outer rim of the ‘bass continuum’. Instead of tirelessly rehashing old tropes they are continuously inspired to write new music that’s both current as well as firmly in their aesthetic profile.

‘Basilisk’ and ‘The Trenches’ are great examples of the duo blending odd tempos with dub wise heaviness. ‘Basilisk’ has already been doing some serious damage on the dance floor with its punchy 107 beat structure and headzy breakdown, while the almost imperial march of ‘The Trenches’ introduces a bubbly bass line. ‘Illroy’ and ‘Dragonfly’ both inhabit a dreamier, more melodic universe and have a timeless, ambivalent quality to them, somewhere between a lost b-side of an early 00s Hospital Records release and something on Scuffed. Love Love continues the LOVLTD series with a follow up from Bristol based producer Ben Pest. In a similar vein to his previous 12" on Love Love, ‘On The Three’, it’s an all out techno affair with 4 high powered tracks geared for destroying dancefloors.

Eponymous track ‘Cancel Couture’ is driven by a hard four to the floor kick and thick squelchy acid line with a percussion workout for maximum groove while ‘My First Rodeo’ is a tearing stomper of a track, reminiscent of 90’s warehouse hard techno with huge sub bass pounding in an off-kilter rhythm.

The flip-side kicks off with ‘PP Breaks’ which, as its name might suggest, is a breakbeat track with a particularly rubbery electro bassline and hard snare, providing an elastic party experience.

Track 4 is ‘Bad B’ which provides a raucous highlight to the EP - A rough chunky acid hardware jam with deep bass and rich drum machine rhythms, adorned with stuttering fills and a tidy 303 that bleeds tightly in the mix.
