Global Hybrid Record’s artists decided to gather forces and join inspirations on a regular basis to create a serie of collaborative EPs, under the name HYBRID RITUALS, featuring their respective productions.

Meanwhile, the visionary pied piper ALIZARINA will lead you on a sunny journey to Zambia, to discover lost villages and their ritual songs. His solemn clarinet will be your guide... Further to the north, the wild RAFAEL ARAGON will embark you on an odyssey

EP will be available for free download at Bandcamp («name your price», you can donate to support the label). For HQ lovers, you will also be able to purchase the WAV versions. The money collected will go exclusively to the label, for its promotion and to support the artists (physical release, videomaking, mastering, etc). 

The tracks from the EP will get a second life, through the work of guest remixers, that will lead to another EP in a near future. A good way for us to promote, via our label, artists that we care about and head towards the same musical direction.

Psycho Tropiques - Tratado Geral Das Grandezas Do Ínfimo

About a year ago, Rafael Aragon was contacted by Kateryna Ostrovska, ukranian singer, musician and composer based in Hamburg, instigator and curator of the "Peace Project", to ask him to remix this song she recorded with 36 people from 15 countries. 
Out of the wide and rich audio material from the recording, Rafael created a smooth and mellow downtempo track. With his own science of sound collage and ethnic percussions, he extracted the essence and the main Yiddish vocal and harmonic parts of the song, to display a brand new, "chiaroscuro" version of the song.

ABOUT THE ORIGINAL TRACK : 

/We shout for Peace/

"36 people from 15 countrys gathered together to send a peace message to this world. The song was produced by a jewish and an arab singer from Hamburg and Berlin. It's based on an old khassidic Nigun (jewish religious vocal music) “Volt ikh gehat koyekh”, which has been transformed into a peace song a long time ago by singer Adrienne Cooper.

The more the war makes us dumb, the more you want to scream, sing, pray and whisper for peace. When one day everyone participates, when nobody distinguishes between “us” and “them”, when a deep comprehension of unity touches our hearts, the war will stop by itself. This is the message of the song, sung in Yiddish, Eton, French, Arabic and German.

This song is dedicated to those who, far from the limelight, reach the rescuing hands to people in need."

Durga is a manifestation of the feminine divine principle - shakti. The female part of the Vedic pantheon of gods, all the variety of goddesses thereof is only a reflection of the many aspects of the powerful power of Shakti. Durga is characterized by decisiveness, persistence in achieving the intended goal, invincibility, an ardent desire to overcome the opposing forces on the Path. She creates and destroys, shows humility and at the same time uncontrollability, puts on bright good qualities and at the same time can show rage and instill fear. She is the patronizing mother goddess. In order to restore Dharma and harmony in this world, the gods combined their powers into a single divine energy of Shakti.
