James K. Glassman served as US Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs during the George W. Bush administration, leading the government-wide global strategic communications effort. He was also Chairman of the US Broadcasting Board of Governors, which oversees Voice of America and other government-sponsored TV, radio, and Internet broadcasting. He was confirmed unanimously by the US Senate for both positions and holds the lifetime rank of Ambassador.

James K. Glassman serves as Chair of the Commission to Reignite the Fight Against Smoking. The commission and its staff will launch a report that offers facts, analysis, and recommendations aimed at reinvigorating a noble effort that has stalled. Mired in an outdated paradigm, it has been superseded by new technology, new ideas, and new concerns for neglected communities. The commission will also recommend a set of actions to accelerate an end to adult smoking and other toxic tobacco use.

Angela Hofmann is President of World Strategies, a globally-focused government affairs and policy consulting firm.  She’s also the co-founder and Executive Co-Director of Farmers for Free Trade, a 501c4 bi-partisan group working to educate farmers and the public on free trade and mobilize support, which she started in 2017.  Angela has traveled all over the country, speaking with farmers, manufacturers, and businesspersons to gather their stories and spread awareness of the impact that tariffs are having on the country.  Along with the Global Business Club and the coalition group Americans for Free Trade, she will be co-hosting a Michigan-focused virtual event on May 13th at 12noon.
