I primarily write classical music with a touch of world and electronic traits.  My "spherical" music style, as I like to call it, is mainly a mixture of impressionism, minimalism, and drone (i.e. Grouper) styles.  It highlights and emphasizes rhythms and patterns surrounded by a "sphere" of music.  As a sphere, its intent isn't to lead somebody somewhere like most "linear" music, but rather to envelop the listener in a bubble of fluctuating, building, and resonating sounds.

My music is most inspired by the music of Philip Glass, but I also count Joe Hisaishi, Yoko Shimomura, Troels B. Folmann, and Maurice Ravel as major influences of my work, as well as a great deal of Zelda music.  My favorite genres of music include classical, electronic, jazz, video game, soundtrack, alternative, and world.

I write my music using Sibelius, and I use Garritan samples for my instruments.  I grew up playing the oboe, and as such a lot of my music has an affinity for woodwinds.  I'm also a big fan of marimba, didgeridoo, and pipe organ.  Despite what Soundcloud might suggest, my favorite keys to write in are the Phrygian modes, not minor keys, though when I do write in minor I strictly stick to natural minor.
