More than a decade ago I met Sololust, during the RadioResistencia shows recordings in Utrecht, Netherlands. The label Enfant-Terrible released his songs in the following years on 7 inches, compilation LP's and on a Gooiland Elektro  EP, which I still love playing today. Glory [Berlin] podcast returns with a fresh mix by Xaosm (previously known as CHAOSMOS or XAOSMOS) Dj, producer, organizer, radio maker, this busy bee is all about transmitting his vibes into the ether. I met Xaosm on dancefloors in Berlin basements and saw him play several times when he was part of the Mechatronica crew or on his own parties; his sets, always full of gems dug up from the deep. Happy to have Xaosm for Glory [Berlin] episode #87, here we go, turn up that volume !

XAOSM is a DJ producer from Lisbon who moved to Berlin in 2012. He performed at various venues and held residencies, playing sets that encompass a wide range of tempos and genres including electro-funk, IDM, acid, rave, techno and industrial. Their live set is hardware based and shares that same eclecticism. Pulsing beats, tight bass-lines, rave leads & stabs, silky arpeggios, lush pads and evolving experimental soundscapes for an immersive and engaging sonic experience. His transgressive graffiti youth gives his music a subversive edge, making for a challenging listening journey that is both dance-floor friendly and intellectually stimulating.

I’ve been shuffling around the fringes of electronic music and club culture since the late 1980’s. I enjoy and explore diverse sounds and tempos, but always find returning to contemplative, deep ambient music therapeutic. Going back 20 years or more, Verdant Recordings was originally a home-made web space (way before platforms like soundcloud), and a means to share my ambient sets…. this recording reminds me of those times. Hope everyone appreciate this mix….records and CDs, recorded live, a little preparation but made with love! Thanks to ARC for their support.. we stumbed into one another recently but appear to be on similar wavelength!

A blend of deep electronic music. Starting with smooth breaks and atmospheres building up in layers of sound into a more hypnotic state of music. So enjoy.

Bio:
In the end of 2020, a new journey began for him. It all started with a love for electronic  music, specifically techno, that he discovered during a summer filled with music. As the days  went by, his passion for techno grew stronger, and he found himself spending more and  more time listening to it.
A friend of his, who was already playing, inspired him to take his interest to the next level. He started practicing and experimenting with mixing, and soon after, he began posting his  sets online. His talent did not go unnoticed, and he was given the opportunity to perform at  a local bar. There, he honed his skills and style, which eventually led him to perform at  venues like BASIS and The Melkweg. He is known for his unique style that blend hypnotic sounds and deep patterns to create a  completely new groove. His recognizable approach involves laying down multiple tracks at  the same time, resulting in a hypnotic and emotive experience that leaves the crowd  wanting more. With the goal of creating unity on the dancefloor, he wants to transport his audience into a  world where they can forget about the daily struggles of life and just be present in the 
moment. His music takes listeners on a journey full of emotions and abstract textures,  inviting them to drift off and get lost in the music.
