Dj desde 1989, lo que le ha permitido tener un bagaje musical muy extenso y enriquecedor, además de disfrutar y trabajar con diferentes estilos desde la electrónica de principios de los 70's, los sonidos industriales, EBM y el Synth Wave de los 80's, y el Techno, Electro y Trance de los 90's.

Desde el 95, empezó a apostar más por la Electro newschool que resurge en Detroit y Europa Central (Drexciya, Aux 88, Ectomorh, Anthony Rother, Carl Finlow, IF, ...). A partir de entonces, crea el colectivo Robotique con Dj Fake, para desarrollar sets exclusivamente de Electro en la escena underground madrileña, que entonces solo se alimentaba del Techno y House.

Posteriormente, junto a Dj Awco, creó el auténtico Electroclub 8Z8, dando cabida a todo un elenco de artistas de Electro, contando con vidas nacionales e internacionales de grandes como Ideograma, Alek Stark, Dark Vektor, Luke Eargoggle, Syllicon Scally, Manasyt, Cosmic Force, Minimal Rome crew, Kobol Electronic, Teslasonic,... y muchos más.

Actualmente, además de seguir apostando por el genuino Electro, realiza y produce eventos como Moebium donde da rienda suelta al sonido más Dance plagado de Electro, EBM y Techno. Además de su otro proyecto Orbita, inundado de Electrónica Cósmica, Experimental e Industrial.

Waje es un Dj que siempre ha buscado algo más, inconformista con las tendencias y las modas. Se le considera un maestro, tanto por su técnica en las mezclas, arriesgada e improvisada al 100%, como por su bagaje musical.

Amig@s vamos con otra entrega de nuestra mimada serie de podcast. Este nos ha costado un poco conseguirlo, hemos recorrido gran parte de nuestro sistema solar, hemos surcado nubes de polvo estelar y esquivado alguna que otra onda expansiva provocada por una supernova. Pero al fin, dimos con nuestro invitado, The Zenobit3, y su arte interplanetaria.

The Zenobit3 aka Sumerian Slave es todo un referente en esto del submundo electrónico y es que cuesta menos contar los años que no ha estado presente que los que lleva en esto. 

The Zenobit3 es la evolución de Dj Pitch, y sus comienzos se remontan a comienzos de los 90 donde estilos como el EBM más industrial, IDM, Techno, Hip-Hop, Drum & Bass, Electro, Ambient y marcianadas varias empezaban a alimentar su mente y su preciada colección de discos.

En esos años The Zenobit3 (Pitch) fue residente de diversas salas como Voltereta (ALK-MAD), Camelot (VLL) o Universe (MAD). Además, era miembro del colectivo Dark Archives enfocado sobre todo al Drum & Bass (and scratch applications). Colectivo que le llevó a actuar en diversas salas y festivales de toda la península: Zeus (COR), Metro (ALC), Yasta (MAD), Copelia (MAD), Moog (BCN), Sonar, Festimad o Phonetica.

En 2004 es cuando definitivamente gira al Electro y adopta el nombre The Zenobit3 y además comienza a darle a la producción. En este aspecto The Zenobit3 ha publicado trabajos en sellos como Drivecom, SETI Recordings, Elektrodos, Redsonja Records, Crobot Muzik, Eclectic Reactions o Electro Club Records. Sus producciones son precisas, con sonidos cristalinos, bajos sobrecogedores y melodías que van directas al alma.

Como Dj The Zenobit3 es de lo más crema que puedas escuchar y un defensor a ultranza de nuestro formato amigo, el vinilo. Sus sesiones son puro Electro donde tienen cabida sonidos procedentes de Detroit, UK o el norte de Europa todo ellos mezclado como pocos hacen y sin perder de vista la narrativa, la coherencia y la conexión con la gente. Sin duda, The Zenobit3 es todo un referente para los que amamos el arte del mixing de la forma más tradicional. 

Tanto sus Live’s acts como sus Dj Sets han llevado a The Zenobit3 a recorrer lugares y eventos de culto como 8Z8, Rephlex, Sugar Blood, We Are The Robots, Fémur, Analogical Force o Electro/Techno Cracks…

Sin más, os dejamos en muy buenas manos y os queremos confesar que estamos muy orgullosos de publicar este set y que para nosotros tiene mucho significado contar con The Zenobit3.

Solar system mix jay ellis

UHF is a spanish duo, founded by techno dj/producer José Castillo aka Milford and David Aragón, a highly respected djs in the electronic scene of Madrid. Together they've created electro beats and idm, which mixed with old school tunes, with european influences in nineties, and it undoubtfully offers a taste of Detroit. Their first single was released in 2014 and included in a great compilation of their own label @gladiooperations, along with renown artists as Boris Divider, ERP and Luke Eargoggle, among others.

MaK has been a collector of electronic music including acid, techno, experimental, post punk, weirdo house dance beats with heavy influence from Chicago and Detroit sound back since 1995. He got his first DJ gig at back in 2006 and it has been one long party since then. In 2008, MaK started DJing at House and Techno parties all over Athens, which stimulated him to organise his own nights - hosting names such as Kitsune Maison / Teenage Bad Girl / Severino / Busy P. In 2010 he became resident at the Deep Inside Athens Parties, playing alongside world class DJs such as Maayan Nidam \ Luke Howard \ Dynamodyse and many many more. In 2011 MaK begin his residency at Glastonbury Festival in the infamous Block9 stage for the NYC Downlow. He is member of the queer party collective “Happy Endings”, and host of radio shows on Threads Radio and Netil Radio in London.

As the digits align and we reach our 111th podcast, it gives us great pleasure to welcome Daniele Cosmo into the fold. We’ve become increasingly impressed by Cosmo in his ventures at the helm of Lux Rec, providing the perfect distillation of the decade spanning crossover between vintage technology and new ideas within a rough framework of grubby house and techno. With all the industrial, coldwave and synth-addled influences that feed into the signings to Lux, we felt sure that a mix from the man himself would come up with just as many time-travelling surprises.

As well as curating all things Lux and recently launching the MRT sub-label, Cosmo also turns his hands to production from his Zürich stomping ground. He makes up one half of Savage Grounds with Florin Büchel (also known as CCO), the pair having dropped the Over Fences EP last year. On Lux’s label defining The Dying Lights compilation, he teamed up with Italian producer Luciano Lamanna to whip up “The Darkest Hour”, prompting Oli Warwick to hail the track, “a wonderfully bloated and extravagant celebration of gutter-wave sludge techno.”

The hour-long mix Cosmo submitted is, by his own admission, representative of what you might experience him playing in the club; expect to hear An-i rubbing up against L.I.E.S. artist Slugbug and MRT discovery Tuning Circuits. He was also kind enough to answer in details some questions we had on Zürich, MRT, and some of the lessons he's learned running Lux Rec over the past five years.
