"Hi, My name's Khallid.  My DJ name is Supremewreck.  I'm a 24-year-old US/CAN (NYC born Toronto raised) DJ, although I don't like to call myself one just yet.  I'm currently based in Toronto and taking bookings mostly alone in my bedroom like everyone else haha.  I can't really pick one particular genre that I play.  I like playing music that makes me feel sexy, music that makes me want to move and just have fun!  I like playing: club, house, electronic, jersey club, ballroom/vouge, dancehall, and some baile to name a few.  I never imagined or saw myself doing this DJ thing.  I think the first spark came after watching a Bambii set when she opened for Kelela.  I was like " wow wtf is that she playing?  I want more!"  She, along with Chippynonstop, Nino Brown, LSDXOXO, saintdeepthroat/river moon, and SXYLK have been some of my favorite DJ/producers to name a few!  They've really influenced a lot of who I am musically and my appreciation for the art of DJing. I picked up my first controller in summer 2019 and just celebrated the one-year anniversary of my first booking.  I never expected the last two years to turn out the way they have but I'm proud of where I've come and I'm excited to see what's next! "

‘Ancestor Boy‘, released earlier this year, was Lafawndah’s debut full-length, an accomplished exploration of her musical genealogy. Closely following up the album is a new remix compilation: ‘Ancestor Boy II’, which arrives via the London-based artist’s own Concordia imprint. It invites a selection of electronic pioneers from around the globe to reimagine her cuts, including Howie Lee (hear his Dummy mix), Cõvco and São Paulo’s Linn da Quebrada and Pininga. Nídia (formerly Nídia Minaj) of Lisbon’s Príncipe Discos chops up ‘Tourist’, channelling Lafawndah’s reverence for percussion by pitting off-kilter, neck-snapping drums next to vocal stabs. “Nídia and I met during Honey Colony in London,” Lafawndah says of the remix. “She’s one of my favourite producers and it’s an honour to have her rework my track. It’s a song for our inner child who’s tryna be at the club.
