Hosted by the infamous chugger maestros known as @warehousepreservation 

In recent years, the freshly-minted Warehouse Preservation Society released cuts on Rogue Cat Records and Machine Limited, and have landed remix works with such esteemed artists as Daniele Baldelli & DJ Rocca (ultimately sitting aboard DJ Harvey’s second Pikes Comp); plus Anton Klint & Artur 8, Romain FX, Mickey Van Seenus, and DJ Garth & Anthony Mansfield.

These two cool cats have prepared a special show from the psychotropic salon encircling Los Angeles-based artists with a focus on formative steady acid/dub/industrial/trance collectibles and lost downtempo psychedelia.

Get ready to take on the journey of a lifetime with these fresh-minded lads.

Recorded live at Brilliant Corners, London, for this Glossycast we count on the founder of the label, Glossy Mario.  Five hours of a pleasant selection of jazz, disco, funk, balearic and fusion. 

"I brought some of my favorites jazz and groovie records. I started building a listening experience to then turn it into a danceable one. Finally everybody got off their chairs and started dancing to these blend of records of different genres and places. Expect lots of Spanish ones tho!"

While in France, Guidon discovers and develops his music universe.
Sailing between cosmic sounds and wrapping grooves, deep into more raw and progressive productions . For this Glossycast he prepared a selection in a steady growing mood.

Last school year was a special one at Can CANELA! We made it to a decade, and despite the fact that we've been working tirelessly behind the scenes since the pandemic (right now we have 2 test pressings at home...), we were able to celebrate our 10th anniversary in two of the clubs where we've enjoyed the most during all these years the simple but oh so comforting act of sharing records with people: Café Berlín in our beloved Madrid, and LAUT in what is and will always be our home, Barcelona.

The truth is that we aren't people who like to celebrate our birthdays in a big way, but when it comes to Canela En Surco, it's a different story. It may sound cliché, but the fact is you don't celebrate 10 years every day, and so we wanted to offer a gift to the attendees that would commemorate this day forever.

The gift came in the form of a one-hour mix recorded back to back by our favorite Yorugua Maxi Arrieri aka Fatal with Canela director Breixo Martínez, self-released in a limited run of 50 cassette copies, featuring design by Fatal aka Maxxximiliano himself and an illustration by one of our favorite artists, Martín Funcasta. We gave away the tapes to the first ones to arrive that night at LAUT, as well as to the staff and some friends who have greatly helped us on this path.

Drone, Folk, an unreleased song by Ivy Barkakati, Industrial music, a song that sounds like Sumo but is NOT, oh, and of course a lot of opiates,...

Our funds only permitted this limited run, we would have liked to make more but the idea was that nobody had to pay for a copy (we wanted to give back a little of what people have given us over the years). Many friends have been writing to us to see if we had any copies of the cassette or if we could send them the audio of the mix instead, so we finally decided to upload it to our website for the personal consumption of those who want it.

Name a more iconic Iberian duo. Wait, name a more iconic siblings duo. But are they really brothers? Who cares when you just encounter two maestros of the Spanish scene: Dos Hermanos. Consisted of Lier & Texture, a mighty Galician-Andalusi connection in charge of one of the most explosive collectives and parties: Ego-Trip. Truly diggers and top record spinners, an honor to host them on our mix series. 

This podcast was recorded live at festival Jaleo Real last summer (2023), an idyllic retreat in Ávila, and it goes without saying that it was in our humble opinion one of the top sets, on a carefully selected trip all the way from funk, balearic, world, hip-hop to the roots of house.

If you sit down, you better shake it.

Founder of the mighty party and event organizer Tombolo, beloved Madrid local hero OG Juan is a one to follow (not in the social media way, tho). He has been promoting and working the club scene for more than 10 years. Programmer and curator of different projects, he started setting up raves and underground events in 2012, right when some of us were learning how to spin. He has brought more than 200 international artists from all kinds of music genres throughout his career including Mezerg, Orlando Julius, Fatima, Yussef Dayes, or Egyptian Lover.

For this set, he has prepared a banger after banger vibe with all shorts of roots within house with a deep feel for the classics. Pretty much what you expect to hear on one of his atomic sets.

We welcome Belfast born and Glasgow based DJ Jonnie Wilkes to the NSA guest mix series. Renowned for his adventurous and diverse sets either alone or as one half of Optimo there  is always a different energy when Jonnie is in town as the crowd really expect big things which he delivers on time after time. Constantly brilliant,  Jonnie is a genuine original and ambassador of the scene so we are delighted he was down for joining the series.

Helsinki based selector Juuso Tervo clusters all things psychadelic in just over an hour's grind. Having started mixing in the mid 2000's Juuso leaned toward electronic italo sounds as a DJ, however now draws from his earlier musical educations in prog rock, psychedelia, fusion, and jazz. 

His selections are dictated by the intensities different tracks have, viewing the act as a kind of composition. Breaking down and repurposing the contexts of the music is equally important to Juuso, which always ensures that special element of surprise.

We are a local record label based in Madrid, born in 2019.

The label name comes from the mistakes unveiling the extraordinary. Our first release from Om Buschman was possible due to the finding of hundreds of original copies with matte covers in a warehouse. Those never got distributed because of the printing error, therefore Glossy Mistakes.
