After a busy Spring with the launch of her Neverwhere Radio show, new tracks on Get Physical and mixing their latest Full Body Workout compilation, CAMEA sets the stage for summer with her next Bpitch Control installment. This will be CAMEA‘s third solo release on Ellen Allien’s imprint, following up her highly acclaimed ‘City Watch Over Me’ and ‘Neverwhere’ singles, as well as a vinyl only remix project featuring Deadbeat, Locked Groove and Lee Jones. Now the Seattle-born artist and Berlin resident contributes a great three-track collection for her new single titled, ’The Hallway’, out in vinyl and digital format.
In this selection, CAMEA continues to lay the foundation for her experimental combination of deep house and tech- no with a collection of three mind-bending pieces. The A side track, Wormhole, is a peak time techno space burner for the main stage, while the B-side goes deeper with two kaleidoscopic tech house tunes. The titled track, ‚The Hallway’, is a psychotropic and funky descent, layered with trippy vocals and spaced-out melodies, all connected by an irresistibly towering peak. Finally, ‘Orchestra of Dreams’ concludes her release with a harmonious and passionate dance ballad, rippling it’s way in and out of FM synthesis and orchestral harmonies for an eerie and elegant piece. CAMEA’s sound and ideas speak loudly on this release, sharing with us another part of her journey and adding ano- ther essential piece to her discography and the Bpitch archive.

Long time friend of SCI+TEC Rob Hes returns to the label for the second time this year with two more devilishly stark, uncompromised and subtly psychedelic slabs of techno, sculpted for deep mix pleasure.

‘Proxima’ takes the lead with a stripped back loopy dynamic that gradually builds with trembling chime sounds rattling gently across the pneumatic drum groove. Full immersion guaranteed; there’s something deeply hypnotic about the way Rob has layered the lean elements here.

‘Noah Is Born’ hits with a little more drum density and textured weight as we’re treated to another entrancing trip. This time the shimmering sounds play much more of a lead role in the narrative as they ripple across the track from left to right like dreamy audio hallucinations.
Enchanting, icy, driving: Rob Hes’s ability to fuse the mechanical with the mystical continues to bewilder and amaze us. Rest assured he’ll be back on SCI+TEC very soon…

Nicole Moudaber links with Hector on the inaugural release for his new VLack imprint, an outlet that will focus on the deeper shades of techno. 

Combining Hector's stripped back approach with Nicole's driving hypnotic essence they deliver the 'Retrosaw’ EP, which features a deep, moody and minimal title track.

To celebrate the launch of the VLack label, Hector has invited Nicole to join him at his home venue Bar America’s to play the Guadalajara event on February 22. 

The three-track, vinyl-only 'Retrosaw’ EP is set for release February 12.

The release features an original and two remixes, coming from Cabizbajo and Zombies in Miami.

The former, @Cabizbajo is originally from the same city of Culiacan where  both Disconnected and the label hail from. His version takes the original into deeper territory....  taking you on a journey through the dark forest to where the witches prepare their potions.

It was 2010 when Massimiliano Pagliara and Discodromo got together and started working on Costellazione K78. It’s finally time to reveal this piece of  italo-cosmic beauty landing on Cocktail d’Amore Music.
The spaceship starts off and a vocoder announces the destination. In the middle of the track there is an interference…Is that a hole? Oh right they are out of it! Going higher, higher…higher through space-time. 
B side is taken by a dub version where drums play the main role. Everything is condensing together, it feels like connection is lost, but the bass line comes in and takes control. Destination reached, time to celebrate.
Thank you guys for the efxapella, we’ll all do good use of it.
