Leeds-based blues rock band, who's debut album 'The Other Creek' was released in 2007. The band's version of Joni Mitchell's 'Big Yellow Taxi' brought them to prominence in certain quarters, including college radio. The indie folk four-piece Sam and the Black Seas has been playing together over the last year to ever-expanding and enthusiastic audience in Italy and UK. The band has released four singles through the London-based Atomic Fat label. Endorsed by the guitar manufacturer Cort, and featured in the TV show Untraditional Fabio Volo, the band will release the debut album in early 2017.

Nearly all my songs are originals (see descriptions on the songs). I do everything myself, from composing and arranging to mixing.  I use Propellerhead's Reason.

I wish I had more time to make music, but my full-time job and daily duties require a lot of my time as well! :) For now, I am happy to do music as a hobby and have no further ambition than that.

My musical references and inspirations come from artists like Sigur Rós, Anathema, Clannad, Loreena McKennitt, and a few Norwegian artists. I also get inspired by books and movies with a fantasy/medieval feel, like Tolkien's work.
