The Groove Merchant Jazz Orchestra is a Glasgow based 17 piece big band, featuring some of the top young jazz musicians in the country.

String Quartet based in Glasgow with a repertoire varying from classical to pop.

Scat 23 presents weekly jazz nights at Dukes Bar in Glasgow's West End. 
Thursdays 9pm - 12pm, free entrance and jam.

I'm a passionate authority and advocate for jazz old and new, and dedicated to continuing and developing the art and tradition of vocal jazz in the 21st century. With pretty wide ranging tastes, I'm not afraid to admit I'm obsessed with music that swings. I present "The Jazz House", BBC Radio Scotland's Award Winning showcase for jazz of all kinds.

Alabaster Jones is a band with a straightforward mission - for them it's all about playing good music to the people and to #StayFunky.

In 2010, six Glaswegian musicians came together to form the group. They immediately gelled and began writing their own brand of music and have become Scotland's answer for true modern funk.

"We simply want to play good music for people that they can get down to - no bells, no whistles. Just six chaps who like a groove."

Influenced by a range of classic funk/soul outfits Alabaster Jones keep the funk modern, fun and truly progress it into the 21st century.

In March 2013 the band recorded their full debut EP, "The Night Before The Morning After"

They ventured back into the studio in May 2015 to record their new EP, "Six Weeks". Released on 31st July, it marks the bands funkiest music to date.
