Someone asked me, Carl I use a DAW as my instrument. My answer was well done.. If you think about the great composers before computers. They had an instrument (sometimes not) a pencil, paper and staves drawn on it. The DAW is our modern sheet music so if you express with piano roll only... that's still making music like the greatest composers of all time did. It's however You express yourself and everyone is on this list because that's what they do. They express THEIR feelings in THEIR own way. We need to lift this list of musical martial artists in my pea head opinion. No AI can ever make the love that's made here because AI can't feel for us it can only guess our feelings and that's why all the guesses lack any feelings. We make feelings because controlled feelings take actual intelligence and actual real refections

Jungle track with only three elements (Drums / Bass / Piano).  This was meant to be an experiment to see how few elements I could use to fill out a track.

Jungle track that really wishes it was a breakcore track.  I tried to capture a bit of that old school Toonami anime flavor and present it in a wild transforming piece.

Gnarled Icon

Gnarled Icon - Bbmin 168bpm

Minimal/IDM track with a focus on a melancholy chord progression and intermingled supporting elements.  The track pushes a mood of introspection but still carries a driven beat like railroad tracks for thought.  I wanted this track to reflect and individual's troubles, but also, more broadly, humanity's as a whole.  I have worked on this one on and off for quite some time and it led to some interesting drawn-out arrangement decisions, but I found when trying to trim it down it lost a bit of the magic that I love about it, so here we are.

A scrapy little house track with a focus on over saturation and quirky grooves.   This track rides a balance between upbeat and moody to make listener bob with the crumbling beat and swing with the wonky chords.  This track is an idea I have been kicking around for some time, where the saturation is almost greater than the elements themselves which makes for an interesting (albeit kinda harsh) sound.  It's another short one, but rest assured I have some full-length tracks in the works.

Gnarrang is an artist/producer/musician intent on redefining genres.  Production philosophy revolves around elevating simple ideas with high contrast compositions and unorthodox arrangements.
