With SIAMESE020 we have come full circle. Shiffer, our good friend, Siamese family member and co-graphic designer with Adrian Schweizer since almost day one, has created his most personal release to date. This EP has been recorded during a challenging time in his life and reflects the journey through profound variations of human emotions. Remembering his very first production 'Drunk on Hope' on our initial Anthology release, we’re proud to see how Patrik's music evolved into such a genre-spanning array.

The title track 'Black Ballad' illustrates the proverbial tunnel but also the light at the end of it. For us this opener hits the spot right where tears of sadness and joy meet. It's filled with Shiffer's uncompromising grooves and basslines, gently touched by a sublime melody.

'Her, Endlessly' and 'A Deeper Understanding' are two beautifully crafted tracks we love to play during longer sets. They perfectly lead the crowd into a state of mutual trust and sincerity. 'Her, Endlessly' is more on the house and instrumental side of the spectrum, while 'A Deeper Understanding' is a bit darker, moodier and more trippy.

'Memento' is almost industrial sounding, heavy and yet hopeful, possibly even resembling early Burial releases, so creative and powerful. I remember Adrian Schweizer telling me to drop everything and that I should listen to this immediately. Five minutes later this track has been signed.

When it comes to music I personally enjoy the most, 'Moorgarten' is right up there, an unexpected composition with a familiar vibe. This track actually motivated me to do a whole playlist of this kind of music - trip-hop at its finest. You could even argue this pays tribute to some of the great hip-hop instrumentals from the 90s. Listen to some of these and you know where I am coming from.

All in all a diverse, unique and very promising record that opens up a new chapter in Shiffer's musical path and lead him anywhere he wants to be.

Opening the summer season, Tash’s Movement Recordings welcomes Andres Moris and Alto Astral to the label for their debut EP. Based in Argentina, Andres Moris has been touted as one of his country's fastest rising progressive house talents. Although only a year into his production career, the Cordoba resident has already earned the support of Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren, while landing releases via Antrim’s Or Two Strangers, 3rd Avenue, Balkan Connection and Droid9. Now making his Movement Recordings debut, Andre teams up with one of Argentina’s top up and coming duo’s Alto Astral for a three-track showcase entitled ‘Time Shifter’, alongside a remix from label boss Tash.

First in a series of mini-compilations bound to shed a broader light on rising and under-represented talents, "SVT328" puts on a savorous menu of techno-friendly grooves and big-room busters from a diverse cast of up-and-coming producers. 

Punching the clock in first position, Hamburg's SUZé gives us a spitting glimpse of her vivid, exotica-infused universe. Sitting halfway laser-guided minimal tech wares and retro-laced EBM artillery, "Between The Lines" is a straight out compelling slice of conscious body music, equally enjoyable on and off the dance floor. Stephanie Raschke picks up the torch and runs the hoodoo down on a further heavy, sludgey note with "Talk To Me" - an electro-rock hybrid that beams a wild mix of neonized synth talk, raucous bass riffs and thrashed disco vibes as one. 

Kaufmann takes over with the hi-NRG "Twee", a seriously infectious slab that'll get all tickers in the room swinging at equivalent rate. Nurtured on sci-fi-infused sound design and a stadium-sized sense of raving extravaganza, this one's got peak time-belter written all over it.  A stealthier affair, Spada's "Tantrum" sneaks its way in the shadow. Merging an inch-perfect programming with luscious middle-eastern harmonics and seesawing synths on a mission, its catchy hook keeps etching deeper into the listener's mind as bars roll by. Kasbah-rocker all the way.

Back to the fold after a first contribution to Stil vor Talent’s 2022-issued ‘Rising’ compilation, up-and-coming German talent Stefanie Raschke turns in her powerhouse debut single on LMFM, ‘Dusk Till Dawn’. Always on the lookout for “new sounds, whether they are samples or synths, to play around with and get inspired for a track”, Stefanie brings the heat with a pair of brutalist rollers that bear all the hallmarks of her sound, all at once trenchant and oddly sensuous. Summoning “feelings of change and mystery of what is to come”, her maiden solo drop flexes a much immersive dystopian vision, flush with Sci-Fi-indebted machine talk and proper face-melting plot twists, as told through her beloved arsenal of ARP2600, SH-101 and wide-ranging palette of Arturia plugins. Inbound for maximal floor impact.
Born from “a groove and some weird-sounding samples to create a vibe on which I could build the track”, the title-cut ‘Dusk Till Dawn’ rushes us headlong into a blurry furnace of delayed keys, menacing sonar echoes and that far-flung tapestry of blazing, extra-terrestrial synthlines, transcending average DJ-friendliness to have us floating straight into Raschke’s own fourth dimension without further ado. Pulling out a sweltering mix of loud and heavy bass seesaw, oddball robot vox, Stargate-ish synths and jagged drums on the prowl, ‘Switch Up Time’ is a homing, EBM-tinged tech weapon designed to overwhelm and subjugate all at once. Based upon that anthemic vocal sample she found while rummaging through libraries, the track unfolds its venomous steaminess with zeal and focus, geared up for any kind of action setting you’ll throw at it - whether you look to channel outdoor festival crowds’ energies or teleport a murky basement right up stratospheric apexes in a flash.
