A rhythmically engaging track with a pleasantly natural flow. The instrumentation fits the title well and evokes a real sense of freedom. Some elements in the mix could be brought out more clearly – especially in the middle section, where the sound becomes a bit diffuse. Lâche ou Héros TRANSLATED

In Tibetan Buddhism, Bardo is the central theme of the Bardo Thodol (literally Liberation Through Hearing During the Intermediate State), the Tibetan Book of the Dead, a text intended to both guide the recently deceased person through the death Bardo to gain a better rebirth and also to help their loved ones with the grieving process.
I wrote this tune just after my grandmother died  to help understand the joy of her spirit leaving her long long suffering body and move on to its next amazing state of being.

Piano Day is celebrated every year on the 88th day as a piano has 88 keys. So this year is not a leap year so it falls on March 29 (2025). Like almost all of my other solo piano songs, this is a sit down and make it up on the spot song. Improv. I wish I had the patience and the attention span to write a song over a 6 month period.
