The last time I was at Ruigoord was a decade ago. I was completely mesmerised by this magical place, its atmosphere, the people, and the music. I danced all night and never forgot that experience.

Coming back this time to play a DJ set gave me genuine goosebumps. I had an incredible time once again, and I hope everyone who shared those two explosive hours with me enjoyed it right to the last second.

Phantasm brings you this studio mix by PSYMON, featuring tracks from his forthcoming album 'Area 51' plus a host of exclusive remixes!  Psymon is the psytrance project of Simon C from the North Side of Switzerland. After playing at various events large and small, alongside artists such as Astrix, Sun Project, Phatmatix and many others he started to produce music himself and in 2010 he released his debut EP on Trance Lab records soon followed by his debut album on Planet BEN records. Since then he has had many releases on a multitude of labels such as Spliff Music, Sin Records, Agitato, Psytropic, Ovnimoon, and Phantasm, most notably a superb series of releases in collaboration with Sixsense, producing 3 albums and host of EP's and remixes. Xed is the psytrance project by the Founder of Patronus records, Cedric Marugg. He discovered the psytrance scene and started playing DJ-Sets at local parties in 2016 and got himself immersed deeply into everything about it, due to falling in love with the music and dancing. After some parties he decided to organize his own events in the Swiss mountains and gather experience organizing raves. After two years of DJing he decided to dive into music production and started developing his skills with help by some of his friends (Mirror Engine, Metrix, Yaroc a.m.m.). Cedric quickly learned and distinguished himself as having a unique style very early on.

As time went on, next to putting in lots of time into the record label, his production only grew more mature and clean, not loosing a bit in creative ideas. Wild, unorthodox breaks, funky stinging raygun sounds, poisonous acid stabs, reckless alien space battles and all the gud spacey shit included. Fun but yet introspective psychedelia, but undoubtedly different, generating excitement through sheer overflow of creative and brain-twirling patterns and grooves. Blasting as loud as possible is a moral obligation.

Patronus Records has been founded officially in 2018 and since then, Cedric, with all the fire in his heart, has been continuously putting great effort and work into it. His goals are always growing as an individual. He's driven by the idea of giving music lovers and dancers a smile, as well as hosting a family of like-minded people and giving them soil to grow on.

  Jacob Goadream caught the electronic music bug back in the early 90s, immersing himself in the first warehouse parties in Houston, Texas. As his love for electronic music grew, he was introduced to the enchanting world of psy-trance through the Universal Mind Productions gatherings, via Robin Triskele. It was a transformative experience that set him on a new path. 

  Upon relocating to the Carolinas, Jacob delved deeper into the psy-trance scene and discovered the T.O.U.C.H. Samadhi Collective. Their magical gatherings at Deerfields left an indelible mark to say the least.  These days, now resident DJ on the T.O.U.C.H. Samadhi roster, Goadream is known for seamless, delicate mixing and his innate ability to match the vibe of any situation. Above all, his unwavering love and dedication to nurturing the flame of psychedelic trance dance culture keep him on the move, playing along side some of the biggest names in the scene.

Samadhi is said to be a fourth kind of consciousness: 

It is beyond the states of waking, dreaming and dreamless sleep. Those who have witnessed it as an external phenomenon report that the experience appeared to have fallen into a kind of trance. The hair on the head and body stood erect. The half-closed eyes became fixed. Sometimes there was an astonishing loss of weight, or even levitation of the body from the ground.
