Nano Records lieutenant, world-class DJ and all around ninja, DALA originates from the multi-manic Cape Town party scene; where he honed his unanimously appreciated world class techniques for blending the finest selection of psychedelic beats meticulously sought out from all around the globe.  Starting his DJ endeavours in the late 90’s, DALA joined Nano Records in mid-2000s and since then has flourished into one of the top Psy-exports from Afreaka!    With an eclectic taste of vibing music, his main passion focuses on the playful groove based funkedelics with driving bass-lines, tantalizing rhythms, funky leads and high-flying atmospheres. His ability to pick up from any vibe and draw people into magical journeys on the fly makes him one performer you definitely need to experience!

Many moons ago, beneath the whispering leaves of a secret Banyan tree on a beach in Goa, two sonic storytellers, Mandala and Braincell, met in the stillness of the night and spoke of stars, sounds and the rhythms of the universe.

What began as cosmic conversation soon evolved into a shared mission: to transform their stories into sonic journeys and send them out into the world.

And thus, the Undercover Babas were born.

The Story of Us is a chronicle of that journey. A collection of 13 tracks that reflect the madness, the mystery and the magic of their time together.
Ten of these tales have echoed across dance-floors before, one has been freshly remastered and two are brand new transmissions from the heart of the Babas.
One is a full-power psychedelic stormer, that is raw, rhythmic and unmistakably theirs. The other drifts in slower currents, a deep ambient trip through inner space.

This is more than an album...it's a sonic memoir.
