Orthodox Chant

I have picked and chosen my favorite Orthodox Hymns that exist within SoundCloud. It ranges from Akathists, to Jesus Prayers, to service hymns, and so on. This list is huge and is for anyone to browse and listen to. You can also check out what the artists have to offer when you click on the artist profile of the hymns on this list. There’s even a youth spiritual talk spoken in English that I personally recorded with Protopriest Viatcheslav Davidenko. The list includes English, Greek, and a little bit of other languages, but mostly it has Russian hymns. (The list is still growing!) Please enjoy! ☦️

Есть даже молодёжная духовная беседа с Протоиереем Вячеславом Давиденко, на английском языке, которую я лично записал. These hymns are chanted during the Orthodox Funeral Service. They progress through all eight musical modes chanted in the Greek Orthodox Church.

These hymns are chanted during the Orthodox Funeral service, as well as during Divine Liturgies on Saturdays. Their melodies are nearly identical to the Evlogetaria of the Resurrection, which we hear at Sunday Orthros, but their content is more penitential.

07 - Evlogetaria of the Dead

The Trisagion Hymn occurs in the Divine Liturgy before the reading of the Epistle and Holy Gospel. The Holy Tradition of the Orthodox Church teaches that the faithful received this hymn from heaven, during a period of severe earthquakes in Constantinople.
