Here in the Kelp Elevator EP are two analog-flavored nineties-style Goa trance tracks for your aural reception.

After finally buckling down in December 2020 to learn how to work a DAW for realsies, and after making several not-Goa trance tracks, I decided to try my hand at making Goa trance. Produced in the early summer of 2022, these two are the first proper psychedelic trance tracks I've had a go at, and I hope you enjoy listening to them as much as I enjoyed making them.

"Communion With The Kelp People" is the A-side of the EP and was the second of the two old-school psytrance tracks I made. It's a bit more melodic than "Mood Elevator" and the mixing is a little better, but it's also not quite as rockin' as the B-side.

"Mood Elevator" is sorta acidy and was inspired heavily by Shakta's "Silicon Trip." While my track doesn't sound like Silicon Trip (and Silicon Trip is a whole lot better), the tracks' arrangements are very, very similar. Thank you, Seb Taylor (@seb-taylor-kaya-project), for the learning opportunity and of course for all the amazing music you've produced over the years.

And thanks also goes most definitely to Colin Bennun (@colin-oood), whose mastering wizardry makes all my tracks sound as if I'm better at this music-making thing than I am.

 Not much experience in recording on analog synthesizers and not only) But this is not a hindrance to the creation of the correct sound, based on the inner strings of the soul's breathing!!! You have to live with a good life and not in a hurry! 

I typically play old-school Goa trance, but you'll find other genres pop up here from time to time.
