In this collaboration, Radboud Mens and I explore the tension between stasis and movement. Operating within the realm of drone and electroacoustic music, we construct a sonic landscape where sustained tones and microscopic events constantly shape and reshape each other. What initially appears static reveals itself to be rich with detail: tiny acoustic shifts breathe life into apparent stillness, inviting focused and attentive listening.

The album emerged from a process where sound research, improvisation, and sound design merge. Self-built instruments, the search for timbre and texture, and recordings of the learning process itself form the foundation of these compositions. Rather than following a traditional musical structure, the result is a sonic field in which the minimal continually transforms depending on the listener’s perspective. This is a layered and handcrafted album that doesn’t narrate, but questions. Marking A Boundary With The Turning Point is not a boundary. It’s an invitation to listen differently.

Live Set @ Waha Festival 2018

Each raga is an array of melodic structures with musical motifs, considered in the Indian tradition to have the ability to "color the mind" and affect the emotions of the audience and this journey (raga).

This set is truly special since there is no tracklist to it, this has been originally composed by @miqou thankyou sooo much bro for sharing this absolute beaut with us.

In 2014 he started discovering what has been waiting for him for so long. It is like judging any amateurish result becomes meaningless as the act of producing music itself is the most fulfilling one already. Throughout music he expresses emotion and culture in the most creative way he can imagine. He did realise when he got older and tried photography, that music is his biggest artistic passion.

This mixtape is perfect to chill down and fade away for a moment in time.

While being hooked up to several music genres, he enjoys experimenting in the electronic field the most. Atmospheric soundscapes do feel like the niche that he could fit in. In another project many recordings were collected with a near field recorder during a journey trough morocco. He choose parts of these and assembled them to raised the whole soundscape with self made melodies and atmospheric details - which in the end, created an unique sound experience. New Zealand has relatively few native bird species, however they are among the best songbirds anywhere. This album presents a soundscape which features most of them.

We begin in the predawn, experiencing a dawn chorus of Tuis and Bellbirds; without doubt the magical, silvery songs that eighteenth century naturalist, Joseph Banks, described in his journal as "certainly the most melodious wild musick I have ever heard". 

Joining the dawn chorus we also hear Whiteheads, Stitchbirds and Saddlebacks, each rare endemic species with distinctive voices. 

However it is the Kokakos that steal the show. They are so rare it is a privilege to encounter them. Their slow songs comprise pure tones, and which feel somewhat sad and mournful to our ears. Here a pair sing antiphonally, their voices carrying through the bush like the mythical sirens. 

Next, we visit New Zealand's ancient podocarp forests, to hear the magnificent Kakas. These playful, large cockatoos have exhilarating vocalisations; a variety of explosive rasps, liquid whistles, and intimate chuckles. We also hear native Robins in full voice, the delicate tinkling of the Tomtit, and the eerie wails of secretive Wekas. 

Moving to the South Island, we encounter species restricted to those cooler habitats, including Brown Creepers, Riflemen, and the increasingly rare Yellowheads. 

Finally, the iconic, nocturnal Kiwi. As dusk falls, the Tuis fall silent as the first Morepork awakes. A Kiwi calls close by, while another walks steadily towards us with shuffling gait through the leaf litter. Passing within inches, it moves off into the night.

His fine taste for a wide range of different styles of Trance Music in the meantime brought him to appear @ international mainstages outside of Austria to rock the dancefloors with his unique note. Gobayashi´s unmistakeable style moves elegantly and masterly in and out of groovy kickin´ and hypnotic. At times his sound is psychedelic, organic or has mystic drive and at the break of the day can be also melodic and playful – always adjusting to the programm with superior ease

With his new project SHAMANTRA he delivers consequently organic ethno-tribal-delicatesses in the fields of Techno & Downbeat Music where he is a specialist for creating unique sound atmosphares and cineastic spaces – as dj, visualist and deco artist as well ;)
