Always at the forefront with an active role in emerging stylistic nuances Century Media has truly shattered the barriers and exemplified diversity in extremes while remaining rooted in the underground but giving bands opportunities outside of the normal means with major league international touring, commercial radio play, and music placement in high-profile films, TV and commercials. Despite all of the years and breakthroughs the company maintains their organic, family feel and business is still being conducted by fans of the music for fans of the music.

A record label with its birthplace in the seamy underbelly of Buffalo, New York. Spawned from the ashes of the infamous Sanctuary nightclub that was home to many crazy nights and many crazy, messed up bands. Big Neck Records was then suddenly uprooted and moved to Northern Virginia, where it now resides.
The only creed that Big Neck Records lives by is to keep crazy, messed up rock-n-roll going strong!

I started Dr. Strange Records in 1988 as a place to get rare Punk for a FAIR price. A year later [1989] I released my 7” from a local band called Manson Youth. 25 years later we’re still doing the same; Selling Punk Rock for fair prices and releases awesome music!

Est. in 1988. Started as a mail order for rare punk vinyl. We soon became a record label and eventually a 2300 sq ft record store. 

Let me start off by saying what we are NOT. We are not a "company" or "corporation" making money off punk rock. I've been into punk since 1980 and it is truly a way of life for me. It is who I am and what I will be until I die. I started Dr. Strange Records in 1988 in an effort for like minded people to get rare punk records for FAIR prices. My "hobby" has not only turned into the biggest mail-order for punk in all the world, but also a record label (in 1989) and a store in California (opened in 1997).

We're small...there's myself, my wife Crystal and my friends: Der-Der, Chachi, Lips, Pippy, Trevolta, Dusty Dirt, and Jinx the Cat doing the best we can to get you the best "stuff" for the best prices. What else can I say old school classic hardcore punk rock collected from since before I was born.I guess rock and roll is here to stay and I hope, in this incarnation,you don't ever lose your edge people, cause you will suck. Let's rock.I re-engineered all these tracks electronically by placing in an expanded dynamic range from vinyl sources.You will notice the difference of sound on a good sound system and rock harder than you ever did with my selections.Skate, drink, smoke and enjoy life my friends, it's acutally shorter than you imagine.I initially put up this account for myself, but now I see from feedback that people need this music. They need it for release, they need it to cut loose and feel the extreme of life.The energy, the defiance against mediocrity, the feeling that people need to WAKE up.  FTW baby Let's rock.
