The two longtime friends wrote this EP during COVID lockdown when they ended up living on a farm in South Somerset. A slowdown of life gave them time to explore new sounds and more of a ‘home listening’ vibe as opposed to all out club bangers. The 2 producers have combined their visions into a 6 track EP, taking us on a journey through tempo and style.

Samurai Breaks is no stranger to the rave scene, the multifaceted producer has been tearing up dance floors and festivals around the country with his unique style of turbo rave. Samurai Breaks’ vast discography includes releases on Off Me Nut Records, Hoover Sound, Trax Haven, The Dreamers and Hardcore Energy.
Mr. Breaks is also the joint founder of ‘Super Sonic Booty Bangers’ a platform used to push the 160bpm sound he is widely known for.
It's been a magical 2022 for Samurai Breaks, after winning DJ Mags Best Breakthrough Producer in 2021, he has been playing shows and festivals up and down the country every weekend, including stand out b2bs with Fixate / Mandidextrous / Pete Cannon/ Addison Groove / Itoa and Mixtress as well as notable sets at Boomtown, Glastonbury, Beatherder and Balter. Now the final cherry on a successful year comes in the form of OMW002.

The EPs counterpart, Arcane, has also been making waves in the UK underground scene, most notably with their intricate break science and dramatic atmospheres. Since dropping their first EP on Omerta in 2020, Arcane has gone on to release 2 records with Rua Sound, Defrostatica and a Collab EP with Samurai Breaks on Trax Haven. These tracks have picked up support from top names like Sherelle / Addison Groove / DjRum , Om Unit, Jon 1st and more. His first forays into the DJ world have seen him play at Beatherder festival, Bristol and recently his first international booking playing out in Ireland with Rua Sound alongside Sully / Itoa and Sun People.

TEXT is Bristol based DJ and producer. Having studied classical music and becoming involved in London’s experimental music scene, TEXT was hooked into to dance music while exploring London’s club scene! With his debut release on Outhouse Sounds in 2022, TEXT introduced a deep, dark, bass heavy sound drawing from UKG and the sounds Jungle, Dub, and Dubstep that prevail over his hometown, Bristol. 

TEXT’s evolving sound has since gained cosigns from long-standing tastemakers and found home on labels such as ec2a, HARDLINE, and Warehouse Raves. TEXT combines sounds from an eclectic taste and unusual musical background to create productions that are hard-edged and impactful while intricately detailed and palpably atmospheric. His music blends elements from the darker end of UK bass with lively sound design, ﬁeld recordings and diverse sample sources. 

TEXT is a Subtle Radio resident and DJs across the UK while contributing guest mixes for radios and platforms such as BBC, SWU, Komrad and Blue Dollar Billz. His sets are a journey though deep cuts and heady blends from esoteric corners of UKG, Funky, Bruk, 140, Breaks, Baile, and beyond.

Italian producer Soreab returns to Beat Machine Records with ‘Wrinkles’, a four-track EP which features vocals from pioneering hip hop artist Parallax and two remixes from BBS owner Benton and Planet Mu and Sneaker Social Club affiliate Basic Rhythm. The release proceeds records on DRIFT KINGS, Club Late Music and Top Billin Music. 

Talking about the release, Soreab says, “I was playing for my crew parties (Sobborghi) at The Alibi in Dalston and realised I couldn’t play my own tunes because they were not DJ friendly at all, so I used to end up spinning other artist’s dubs. That’s when I got motivated to try making my own productions playable in clubs while keeping my own sound because I wanted to avoid to just making simple drum tracks. Overall “Wrinkles” is an EP that despite the title, conveys happiness and excitement with each track  inspired by episodes where I got gassed, astonished and overwhelmed in my private life.”
