@three-mothers is a Naarm/Melbourne-based musician dedicated to the intersection between experimental electronic music and pop. 

'Three Mothers' is the artist's self-titled debut album, which is in her own words "a manic love letter to everyone you've ever been. A glassy and fragile veneer over staggering percussion, Three Mothers is a vibrant and glossy sheen smudged over a grief-filled abscess." 

'Belladonna', the album's second of a massive 14 tracks, is a fast-paced, drum-filled dive into everything that the album offers. In her practice, Three Mothers works with an array of materials, samples, hardware and software, a process clearly all on show here.

As the name suggests, 'Belladonna' is about a beautiful woman, a term often used to describe someone as being 'cosmetic'. For Three Mothers, this choice and a series of others on the album comment on her position as a trans woman on the internet, sex work, objectification, desire and passion.

Across its run-time, 'Belladonna' is but only a taste of everything to find on this debut.

Gem Fumigation Spa is a new damaged American rock band. Rummaging through the trash heap of all known undergrounds, they work in conversation with both the hyper-present of guitar music and the forgotten knights of the sticky noise table. They use drum machines and distortion. They play with an urgency that sometimes even confuses the band members themselves.
