In the short history of Sri Lanka's competitive Electronic / Underground Music scenario, Praveen Jay has stamped himself as one of the most exclusive talents in the Island. He is known as one of the most sought after, in-demand and the most dominant young DJ among the most wanted DJ's in the Country. In a decorated career spanning just over a decade with 500+ Event performances to his name, 9 Nightclub residencies along with an International tour to Bahrain in 2015, Jay is an iconic industry heavyweight. Along with all these career milestones, jay also has a persona as a professional event planner and has hosted 30+ Events to date under his own event brand, currently known as ‘PJ Productions’ within the last decade.

Spinning records from the tender age of 17, Praveen Jay started his career as a freelance DJ experimenting on this field working his way up to the top in a very short period of time with his very own groovy and energetic style of performance which not only leaves the crowd stunned but also gives the audience a promisingly extravagant experience. His ultimate passion for Music and his spectacular knowledge about Electronic music and it's elements sets him apart from the rest. All that included along with his unique  personalty drove him to reach great heights in the industry. Jay has always been a step ahead from the rest, Influencing the young and upcoming DJ's to follow his style. A unique trend setter who is always ready to reach out of the box and bring out that magical emotion with every impeccable performance. His tunes being always up-to date and fresh off the library, he brings out new grooves to the floor every time he steps up on the stage and leaves people excited and wondering about what he is going to be dropping next.

Praveen Jay is the creator / host of one of the hottest Mixcloud radio show that has grown to be one of the most talked about and trending music communities in the country known as 'DISCO DISCO'. The show has gained massive popularity over the years among the new age underground music fans and party familiars. The community  represents an addictive style of underground music varying from Tech House, Nu Disco, Groovy Deep Tech and some groovy dark oriented Tech House beats as well.

Van Luup started as a DJ back in 1997.His career as a Club DJ started just after he resigned from mobile DJ'ing. Working as resident DJ in a leading pub called “The Den” , and then went by the best bars and nightclubs in Sri Lanka: The Mix bar, Lords ,My Kind of Place (Taj Samudra),TABU Ultra Lounge. He has also taken his talents to some of Middle East leading club nights as well, The legendary Admirals (Ritz Carlton), Cloudnyn, the Qube & the Pearl Lounge. .. Van has warmed up & finished of for the likes of Avicii, Paul Thomas, Da Fresh, Jon Pern (Bodyrox), Paul Harris(Dirty Vegas), Dipesh Parmer, Richard Dinsdale, Nick Blare, DJ Snipz, Tony M, Richard Maurry, Shane Kehoe, Outwork, Uberchic, Gordon Edge, Paul Dieghton just to name a few. ..and also is the warm up DJ for all MOS/ Housexy events in Sir Lanka. Van has also been busy as a producer for Hotta-Fire Records (Major) His style comes from a broad taste in music from Hip Hop to Dance, these days he's spinning a full flavored mix of big room, driving, funky, electro, tech, progressive house music, winning the crowd over time and time again and not forgetting a huge fan of Retro Music (Nothing like bringing the groove back!) .. Van has been spending more time in the studio producing new vibes and remixes as he is planning to lunch his 1st CD very soon under COLOMBO HOUSE MAFIA. "Sexual" Van Luup & Shiyam and latest Single with Dj Shiyam Ft DJ Rakee under COLOMBO HOUSE MAFIA is a Massive hit in Colombo at the moment.
