Keya the original track delivers pumping drums, hypnotic synths and effected vocal snippets to create a nice vibe on the end, played and tested at the Bolier Room Dubai , this track is a serious banger.

On the flip side Animal Trainer from Zurich brings up a juicy organic re interpretation of the original, bringing things down to a more festival high vibe with a breakdown with lots of action. This package is coming from strength to strong.

My Other Side of the Moon's November release is a very special one. To begin with, 'Desert' is a first of its kind: an afro-house pearl, both melodic and rhythmic, harmonious and balanced, it will conquer tastemakers from many genres. The original mix is a synthesis of these qualities, coming from the hands, minds and hearts of Davide Ferrario and Dalai, bright musicians. 

Second, it is special because it summoned all our favorite artists from My Other Side of the Moon and beyond. The afro-king Enoo Napa happily offered us an energetic pure afro-house interpretation you would want to hear in every club you step into. Rhythm 'a la Enoo Napa' is dominant, while the harmony builds up and the break takes the breath away. While the inconfundible voice of Dalai is a constant, Neil Amarey and Breeze and The Sun's remix give Desert their passionate touch, with some delightful guitar melodies and a light afro flair. 

Last, but not least, Breeze and The Sun and Mike Dem experiment together a deep melodic darker version, a blast of energy with a touching break where choirs and strings develop together to merge into an elegant and powerful ending. Desert is definitely a track that will make the difference in the afro-house scene!

To close out a truly crazy year in every sense of the word, we welcome UK based Schörmann to ICONYC with his latest single 'The Sky is Still There'. Acknowledged for his releases on Einmusika & Natura Viva; Black Space turns 'The Sky is Still There' into an irresistible track like only he can by using the original elements on offer with perfection. Black Space layers more melodies and effects, whilst upping the flow with cleverly programmed break beat like percussion grooves and his trademark FX elements, without destroying the essence of the original. His rework deserves to be branded 'essential' in any sense of the word. 

Next up we welcome back label favorite Allies for Everyone to bring us his take on 'The Sky is Still There'. AFE who needs absolutely no introduction with his array of immense releases on some of the biggest labels out there, delivers a classy organic mix for the ages. His rework creates a good feel vibe from the word go, as the atmospheric and organic vibe keeps you moving with warm tinkling sounds, a smooth edge and some nicely effected sounding pieces that continue building to culminate into this amazing groover. The sparseness is key here, as this restrained gem works its magic while it plays away, creating a stunning glow and an air of sophistication. Need we say more?
