For Freek dG Deep Electronic Music is more than just music, it's telling a story, taking the listeners on an hypnotic elektronic trip. Freek dG is a product from 1983, born and raised in The Netherlands. Freek dG is a music lover since he was a little kid. Started with alt-rock and later discovered music like breakbeat and drum n bass. Through the once popular trancemusic he finally found Progressive, Techno, Deephouse, Organic house and later Ambient Techno. His first little DJ panel was a gift from his friends, so they always had a DJ on all the afters and small to come festivals.
Eventually it stayed a hobby, but he played at some self-organized festivals, afters and recently in a beachclub for a warm-up-gig. Freek dG is Into the deeper melodic forms of techno, ambient techno, progressive and deep-house. Inspired by Patrice Baumel, Guy J, Ezeguiel Arias, but also Armen Miran and a lot others...

His sets vary from deep athmosperic moods to dancable energetic beats, enjoy the trip, enjoy the energy

(2) Adamski & Seal - Killer is a classic...Love the Song ..it's a classic for sure!
(3) I hope to be achieving goals that I make for myself with producing and traveling out of the US to play in Festivals and Countries that I have never been in. The Sky is the limit!!
(4) Ohhh Man this is a hard one. I would have to say Tony di Bart - The Real Thing. It was the first song that I fell in love with in Electronic Music. It too is a classic. I was I4 at the time.
(5) So I really love Techno, Progressive House/Deep House, and Trance but truly can't get into Trap or Dubstep. It's just not my thing.
(6) I feel great about being on Pas-Risky's channel and podcast!! He has so many wonderful artist on and they are all brilliant at what they do. So with saying this it's an honor to be in this class of artist.

@pas-risky  was born in Izmir, Turkey 🇹🇷. His passion for music started from a very young age. At the age of 17 he began to play the piano; after that, surrounded by friends with the same interests, he immersed himself in electronic music. His social media group 'PAS-RISKY Music' allowed him to connect to the electronic music environment on an international level.
PAS-RISKY's sound ranges from Organic, to Progressive, to electro.

BSV: Hello Bethany! Same importance to you for beats as painting?
BETHANY ROSE: That answer is a hard yes. The two definitely feed each other. I need music to help get me to that flow state when I paint and I need to experience that flow state to carry over into my music. It’s all about flow state.

BSV: You have decided to share with us the mixtape that you recorded for Defected Records ‘’Unsung Heroes’’ competition. Quality involved, you could have won. Disappointed?
BETHANY ROSE: Thank you. I love this mix. There a lot of my soul in there. I am a little disappointed. I even submitted a very kind letter of recommendation from one of my hero’s Julius Papp.

BSV: Music vibrations = healing. Any methodologies in treatment?
BETHANY ROSE: I love reiki and binaural beats. There is a lot of healing to be had there. I was watching this thing the other day about 42 hz frequency and how if our F was tuned to it our experience with music could be taken to another level. But, yes! Music = healing.

BSV: You are from the Bay Area. What describes your sound and how special it is in relation to the area you come from?
BETHANY ROSE: The Bay Area does have a thriving House music scene. That’s for sure. It’s also a beautiful place geographically. I think the environment of the Bay Area has had an impact on the shape of my downtempo to deep house to nu disco groovy vibe. People out here tend to be real music lovers. It’s nice to play to a crowd who appreciates it.

BSV: What’s your connection between murals and deep house music?
BETHANY ROSE: If I were to draw a connection it would be that both have the ability to completely transform an environment.

BSV: Last track in this mixtape is such a nice treat from the past. Is there any particular reason for including that one?
BETHANY ROSE: Yeah! That one is such a fun way to end a set. It’s such a good throw back. The lyrics say it all too. My best friend, who is also an incredible dj and music aficionado, @DJBARDIA, gave that song to me to use to close out a part with. I had to use it to close out this very special mix.

BSV: Are you a music mage?
BETHANY ROSE: Hahaha! Mage? Well I guess we all cast spells in different ways. My favorite sets do tend to be early sets. They give a dj the opportunity to set the mood for the whole party. I like to approach it as if I’m gradually beginning to fill the air with my tunes. The idea is to give people a chance to settle in, greet each other, feel out the space for themselves. There is definitely some magic in that.

I was born, grew up and still living in Valencia, a city next to the Mediterranean in Spain. Its light, heat and its sea have permeated my skin since ever. Before learning to read I liked to play melodies with my toy piano or my guitar. I grew up in the 80's in love with the new age of music. First with bands like Pink Floyd, ELO, Bauhaus, Joy Division. After I was witness of the newborn electronic music explosion, the arrival of the synthesizers, enjoying with Jean Michel Jarre, New Order, Depeche Mode, Visage. From other bands like The Cure, Simple Minds, The Smiths, and so many others. And more underground music like Ann Clark, Propaganda, that starting German techno that was breaking through and fascinated me. But I have never stayed in a epoch. Each new decade has given me new proposals, some darker years but others full of fresh ideas. No time was better. That's my motto. I still enjoy more every day. Now, I feel very influenced by the melodic techno and progressive. People like Jeremy Olander, Cid Inc, Khen, Guy J, Cristoph, Dmitry Molosh ... and more. 

Therefore, one day, a few years ago, I decided that it was time to be part of this fantastic world that is the music. Technology has advanced enough to allow a passionate about non-professional musician will take all his creativity outside. And here I am. My city has a peculiar philosophy, different from other Spain cities. When winter ends, people burns everything old and explodes between fire and noise, color, music and flowers, reborning in a new spring. The essence of fire, the rebirth of the ashes like a Phoenix carried it in my blood. And all of it permeates my work. Make me who I am. And it enlightens me in this new way of my life. Music is the answer.

Sigo disfrutando cada día más. Ahora, me siento muy influenciado por el tecno melódico y el progressive. Gente como Jeremy Olander, Cid Inc, Khen, Guy J, Cristoph, Dmitry Molosh...y muchos más. 

Por eso, un día hace algunos años decidí que era el momento de formar parte de este mundo fantástico que es la música. La tecnología avanzó lo suficiente como para permitir que un apasionado de la música no profesional sacara de su interior toda su creatividad. Y aquí estoy. Mi ciudad tiene una filosofía peculiar, diferente al resto de ciudades de España. Cuando acaba el invierno quema todo lo viejo y explota entre fuego y estruendos, color y flores, para renacer en una nueva primavera. La esencia del fuego, el renacer de las cenizas como un ave Fénix lo llevo en la sangre. Y todo ello impregna mi trabajo. Me hace ser lo que soy. Y me ilumina en este nuevo camino de la vida.
