Clubsonica Records opens the summer season by welcoming Juan Sapia back to the label for a new EP. Hailing from the progressive house hotbed of Argentina, Juan Sapia has enjoyed a steady rise since first emerging in 2017. As a favourite of progressive music tastemakers Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren, the Buenos Aires resident has compiled an impressive resume, landing releases on top tier imprints such as EDGE, Mango Alley, Or Two Strangers, Sudbeat Music, and The Soundgarden. Now, following an EP for Argentina's pad records to begin the year, Juan makes a welcome return to the label with 'Aura | Forest Song', alongside remixes from Paul Deep and Leo Guerrero. 

As the progressive grooves and swaying rhythms of opener ‘Aura' unfold, it's clear that Juan's craft must be taken to heart. Renowned for his trance-inspired melodies, the Buenos Aires resident opts for a deeper approach here, working placid pads over dulcet grooves and dusty percussive arrangements. Building patiently across the first movement, its creamy tones and heartfelt harmonies marry beautifully during a transcendent break, before layers of wind-swept sonics cue a gorgeous drop and glowing finale. Beneath the calming waves of ‘Aura' lies a tastefully melodic production entitled ‘Forest Song'. Evoking a confident club energy from the start, Juan's colourful sonics, emotionally resonant hooks and nostalgic melodies blanket a tight yet groovy framework. With an infectious energy that could win over even the most discerning of fans, it's a journey that becomes unabashedly epic at its peak, as melodies unite in a whirlpool of textural bliss, making for a sure fire dance floor weapon.

Returning to the label for the lone interpretation of ‘Aura' is Paul Deep. With a career that spans the better part of a decade, the Argentinean artist has compiled an impressive resume along the way, landing releases via All Day I Dream, Tale & Tone, The Soundgarden and Sudbeat. World class DJs Lee Burridge, Guy J, Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren have all been steadfast supporters of Paul's sound. With his year being highlighted by an EP for Dmitry Molosh's Proportion imprint, Paul now makes a welcome return to Clubsonica with a stellar rendition of ‘Aura'. Focusing on a slightly darker monochrome, the Buenos Aires resident goes deep and techy for what results in a heady nine-minute journey. Rebounding rhythms and deep chugging basslines set the course for snatches of flickering percussion and growling stabs. Looking to bring a greater emotional response, the main break shifts the narrative through heartfelt chord changes and trance-inducing melodies, before a wave of white noise perfectly sets up a stripped back drop and meditative finale. 

The release concludes with Leo Guerrero making his label debut with the lone interpretation of ‘Forest Song'. Hailing from Colombia, new  inspirations led Leo to progressive music where he restarted his production journey under his own name, while finding a home on Antrim's Strangers Beats and D-Nox's Sprout. Continuing on this explorative path, the Medellin resident now adds Clubsonica to his resume with a powerful take on ‘Forest Song'. Beginning with a buoyant kick and galloping groove, the Colombian artist channels the melodic energy of the original through panoramic synths and percolating arps, before a deconstructed take on the main musical theme emerges across the break, perfectly setting up a thrilling peak-time finale. A gorgeous interpretation from Leo, which rounds out a must have return to Clubsonica for Juan Sapia, an artist who continues to stand out in Argentina's progressive house landscape.

With a deep passion for electronic music, Traumwelt first discovered his love for techno during the end of the teens, when he stumbled upon a underground rave and immediately entranced by the pounding beats & hypnotic melodies & atmosphere.

Since then, Traumwelt has dedicated his life to creating and performing great techno music. In the studio, he spend countless hours experimenting with sounds & textures, always striving to push the boundaries of the genre & create something truly unique.

As a DJ, Traumwelt is a master of creating immersive and engaging sets that take the listener on a journey through all of the different shades of techno music. He have a deep knowledge and appreciation for the history of the genre, and is always looking for ways to incorporate some classic tunes into his DJ mixes alongside the freshest new tracks.

I was born, grew up and still living in Valencia, a city next to the Mediterranean in Spain. Its light, heat and its sea have permeated my skin since ever. Before learning to read I liked to play melodies with my toy piano or my guitar. I grew up in the 80's in love with the new age of music. First with bands like Pink Floyd, ELO, Bauhaus, Joy Division. After I was witness of the newborn electronic music explosion, the arrival of the synthesizers, enjoying with Jean Michel Jarre, New Order, Depeche Mode, Visage. From other bands like The Cure, Simple Minds, The Smiths, and so many others. And more underground music like Ann Clark, Propaganda, that starting German techno that was breaking through and fascinated me. But I have never stayed in a epoch. Each new decade has given me new proposals, some darker years but others full of fresh ideas. No time was better. That's my motto. I still enjoy more every day. Now, I feel very influenced by the melodic techno and progressive. People like Jeremy Olander, Cid Inc, Khen, Guy J, Cristoph, Dmitry Molosh ... and more. 

Therefore, one day, a few years ago, I decided that it was time to be part of this fantastic world that is the music. Technology has advanced enough to allow a passionate about non-professional musician will take all his creativity outside. And here I am. My city has a peculiar philosophy, different from other Spain cities. When winter ends, people burns everything old and explodes between fire and noise, color, music and flowers, reborning in a new spring. The essence of fire, the rebirth of the ashes like a Phoenix carried it in my blood. And all of it permeates my work. Make me who I am. And it enlightens me in this new way of my life. Music is the answer.

Antes de empezar a leer me gustaba tocar melodías con mi piano de juguete o mi guitarra. Crecí en los 80 enamorado de la nueva era de la música. Luego fuí testigo de la explosión de la recién nacida música electrónica, de la llegada de los sintetizadores y disfruté con Jean Michel Jarre, New Order, Depeche Mode, Visage. De grupos como The Cure, Simple Minds, The Smiths, y tantos otros. Música más underground como Ann Clark, Propaganda, ese techno alemán inicial que se abría paso y me fascinaba. Pero nunca me he quedado en una época. Cada nueva década me ha otorgado nuevas propuestas, algunos años más oscuros y otros llenos de ideas frescas. Ninguna época fue mejor. Ese es mi lema. Sigo disfrutando cada día más. Ahora, me siento muy influenciado por el tecno melódico y el progressive. Gente como Jeremy Olander, Cid Inc, Khen, Guy J, Cristoph, Dmitry Molosh...y muchos más. 

Por eso, un día hace algunos años decidí que era el momento de formar parte de este mundo fantástico que es la música. La tecnología avanzó lo suficiente como para permitir que un apasionado de la música no profesional sacara de su interior toda su creatividad. Y aquí estoy. Mi ciudad tiene una filosofía peculiar, diferente al resto de ciudades de España. Cuando acaba el invierno quema todo lo viejo y explota entre fuego y estruendos, color y flores, para renacer en una nueva primavera. La esencia del fuego, el renacer de las cenizas como un ave Fénix lo llevo en la sangre. Y todo ello impregna mi trabajo. Me hace ser lo que soy. Y me ilumina en este nuevo camino de la vida. La música es la respuesta.

My weapons being made, my first big evening was a Limelight on new Year 93' beside of Mozart, Liza'N Eliaz and Lady B.
After all was chained with my first amazing rave to the side of Scan X and Jack of Marseille, Yayo, and Vibot.
My musical style turned around Techouse & Techno in progress with tracks from the four corners of the planet ...
