Born and raised in the Bay Area, 23 yr old Black Zeus (aka Lady Zeus, Yella Redbone & Cryptonite), has been living and breathing music from the day her father sang Maxi Priest's "Wild World" in her infancy as a lullaby, to help her fall asleep from crying. Throughout her childhood, she listened to artists such as Michael Jackson, Eric Benet, and Brian McKnight who are still some of Black Zeus’ biggest musical influences. She began writing and singing early on and developed her skill and voice over the years, growing her confidence. After getting over feelings of nervousness and hesitation, Black Zeus began recording with peers in high school then, found her love & passion for music & lyrics growing more intense with each song written and beat made. She also keeps her creative mind and spirit working by learning recording programs such as Studio One, Pro-Tools, Fruity Loops and Cake Walk. After giving birth to her son, Nehemiah, Black Zeus realized she had a new found motivation to succeed in the music game.

Nehemiah became her Heart, which pumped her "Soul" with more drive to succeed in every breathe, step, and choice made. Armed with her young heart, free spirit, creative mind, and pure soul, she knew one way or another she would reach the top and reach audiences all over the Bay Area. Now, nothing is going to stop her from making an impact on audiences all over the world. Though she has a sound that could compare to artists like Nikki Minaj, Keri Hilson, Ciara and Aaliyah, Black Zeus creates a style all her own, putting her in a separate category from other women in the music industry. With her melodic harmonies, heartfelt lyrics in singing, and her poetic delivery in her rap lyrics and songs, she is definitely ahead of the game. Her deadly combination of heavenly vocals, dope lyrics, charming personality, a beautiful smile, and the drive an ambition to make it, Black Zeus is sure to leave an impression on the world that will be unforgettable.
