Today is a very special day for us at Dilate Records we celebrate our quarter century release "0.25" coming from good friend Chris Kusterer aka PHCK.

We've truly been blessed to have such amazing remix artists join forces for this release Timelapse & The Ancient Memories (Connaisseur, Akbal Music) & Rancido (Innervisions).

The original by PHCK is very much an organic but driving sound keeping all things groovy and deep. Nice vocal placements and deep chord give the track an elegance with stabs pushing the track in the right direction, towards a summer rooftop parties.

For the first remix we asked Rancido to do something special and thats exactly what we got. He kept to the vibe of the track perfectly but added crunchy precautions and a more groovy base putting the remix straight onto most dancefloors across the world. 

Timelapse & The Ancient Memories moved their remix into a more dark techno place with one shots of vocal edits and low pitched techno percussion making sure it hits the peak time slot of every underground dj set.

Mazi from 'Nature Of Music' launches his new solo project 'Alfa State', with 3 new gems. The Canadian producer has been successful as a solo artist, and also as part of the infamous duo, with releases gracing L'enfant terrible and here at Sudbeat. This release shows of mark of boldness as the label is pushing underground sounds from a new act, thats deep and devastating.

The title track 'Orchidea' is a sophisticated deep number, with superb use of restraint throughout this fantastical and breezy production. Less in more is order of the day here, as crisp percussion meets the haunting piano line that gently tinkles, while pads drift in and out, while this spacious number unfurls.

'Tipping Point' is a slightly punchier track, yet still deep, with its melodious layers gelling wonderfully with a rounded and warmth flowing across the track. its deep vibes emanate over its subdued beats and lock you in to its mystical spell.

'Symphony Of Courage' is an arp structured workout, with dominating pads, great drum fills and a cool FX thickening the musicality laced gem. A magical composition that works for the mind and the dance floor.

The last few weeks have certainly been an adventure for Thai DJ-Producer Dan Buri, who just returned from Vietnam after playing Epizode Festival for the second year in a row. The 11-day party marathon was set upon the picturesque island of Phú Quóc where festival-goers travelled from all corners of the globe to surrender their souls to the music. 

Attendees were able to catch Dan Buri on two occasions; once at the EGG Stage and again, the following evening at the main stage where he set the tone for HYTE's highly anticipated showcase. 

Today, Dan Buri manifests some of that magic into our latest Godzilla Disco mix, stating: "As a post-EPIZODE mix, I have prepared a blend of my two aliases Dan Buri and Bahtik. I have always played with the idea to fuse both styles into a mix, blending the organic and ethnic sounds of Bahtik with the more progressive and driving style of Dan Buri. Every now and then, life calls us to slow down. To halt the plans, thoughts and responsibilities clouding our minds. To take a moment of silence. To close your eyes. To breath deeply. As summer slows its pace, the cosmic energy invites us into a deeper state of reflection. Thus, we were thrilled when Toronto artist Sam Zenn approached us with the idea to create an exclusive ambient set.

“Life can be very challenging at times,” he explained. “It’s great to have a chill and uplifting sound to lay back, relax and/or meditate with, especially since nothing connects stronger with our true inner beings other than music… food for the soul!”

Sam Zenn needs little introduction. As a DJ, he is a true chameleon, adapting to any dance floor put before him. His rich, hypnotic sound and technical dexterity behind the decks makes him stand out amongst fellow peers. The only attributes that shine brighter than his skill set are his warm, genuine demeanour and humble stance. It’s no wonder that many of the country’s top venues have booked Sam, including Toronto’s Footwork and CODA, Vancouver’s Gorg-o-mish and Celebrities, and festivals like Bestival Toronto and Vujaday in Barbados. French label Canal Auditif is back with a fresh release by an artist from their hometown Toulouse, Jacme. No stranger to the label, Jacme makes his return after appearing on the Oddities Vol. 1 compilation album little over a year ago and after having delivered a couple high quality remixes. Now it’s time for his solo work with three fresh cuts! 

The EP kicks off with 'The Seven Tones', a melancholic deep melodic dreamer. Followed by 'Aftertouch 99’ which explores the funky spectrum of melodic house music with its infectious groove and airy synthlines. Finally it’s time for ’Saudade’, an intelligent dance floor pleaser that is both warm and groovy with it’s tribal percussion. A proper climax builder this one! But wait, that’s not all! New Dehli based producer SHFT takes on remix duties for ’Saudade’ in a way only he can. Dark, raw, funky and melodic are the key words to describe this one.

Outstanding work here by Jacme and SHFT, and another strong addition to the Canal Auditif legacy!
