Every now and then, life calls us to slow down. To halt the plans, thoughts and responsibilities clouding our minds. To take a moment of silence. To close your eyes. To breath deeply. As summer slows its pace, the cosmic energy invites us into a deeper state of reflection. Thus, we were thrilled when Toronto artist Sam Zenn approached us with the idea to create an exclusive ambient set.

“Life can be very challenging at times,” he explained. “It’s great to have a chill and uplifting sound to lay back, relax and/or meditate with, especially since nothing connects stronger with our true inner beings other than music… food for the soul!”

Sam Zenn needs little introduction. As a DJ, he is a true chameleon, adapting to any dance floor put before him. His rich, hypnotic sound and technical dexterity behind the decks makes him stand out amongst fellow peers. The only attributes that shine brighter than his skill set are his warm, genuine demeanour and humble stance. It’s no wonder that many of the country’s top venues have booked Sam, including Toronto’s Footwork and CODA, Vancouver’s Gorg-o-mish and Celebrities, and festivals like Bestival Toronto and Vujaday in Barbados. So without further ado, we invite you unfold a blanket in the grass, connect with nature, and entrust in this conscious journey with Sam Zenn.

Having begun her love affair with the underground in 2002, after stumbling into an after-hours in Berlin, Jenner immediately knew that she'd found her soul's connection. Jenner returned home and began frequenting Toronto's industry events, and in 2008 she bought her first pair of CDJs and mixer.

Her sound is one that envelops a room entirely. Brimming with deep, ethereal backdrops, brooding basslines, hypnotic melodies, and carefully selected vocals, Jenner delivers memorable sets. Today, she gifts us with a soothing down tempo mix. A mix for a friends party that never was due to the restrictions we all find ourselves living under.  I love this selection of tunes and the flow of the mix so had to get it out there for public consumption, pretty punchy and progressive techno mix...

I’ve started recording studio mixes in one take; no restarts or 2nd chances, hopefully creates a mix with more feel to that in the club.. Also helps me concentrate! This is all mainly tunes that I have discovered during the lockdowns in 2020. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did making it...

Keeping the vibes strong through the afternoon NYD, ebb + flow / Abracadabra TV resident Saqib electrified the dance floor in the special corner of Avant Gardner we know and love, Gunita's Tavern.

"This set was a very fun, high energy set that was based off the energy in the room that New Year's Day 2020. The room was bumping and jumping. There was a huge rush of excitement for this new decade and new year twenty fuggin twenty! Perfect vision.  It was so innocent, so sweet, our enthusiasm... so precious, haha! This was actually my favorite set of the last year or two... and looking back now... it was such a perfect beginning to such a terrible year! I can never forget this night/day."
