Belgium born producer Peter Van Hoesen is a stalwart of techno, his label Time To Express is an essential outlet for deep, physical electronic music and has released records from the likes of Donato Dozzy, Cio D’Or and Marco Shuttle. In the interview below Peter discusses forthcoming releases and what’s next for his label Time To Express. He also sheds light into his formative years growing up in Belgium and his collaborative project alongside Yves De Mey as Sendai.

MNMT 51: Jon Hussey

Makovian has been based in Berlin since 2016, but only recently revealed his work as a techno DJ to the public. He has spent countless hours developing his style behind the scenes, while immersing himself in the city’s techno scene and drawing inspiration from the long, entrancing DJ sets that reflect the endless Berlin weekends. In his sets, Makovian blends deep grooves, hypnotic melodies, and atmospheric textures, creating journeys for the dance floor that are captivating and carry a powerful emotional charge. 
Continuously trying to evolve and refine his sound, Makovian is an artist to watch in the future.
