An 87 yr old man kissing a young boy.....creates an outrage among  those whose own creepiness  causes then to see all affection and joking about it as sick  Those seeing it this way are sick.

When in 1975 I read Heinrich Harrer's Seven Years in Tibet I felt profoundly sorry for Lhamo Thondup (the boy dalai Lama) who was locked up in a palace amongst monks who knew nothing of the outside world. This boy was never going to be given the chance to grow up as a normal Tibetan boy and become a normal Tibetan man. He was totally fucked over by religion. He should not be looked up to as being spiritually wise any more than a pope or an archbishop. These men may be able to recite the holy books but people who get their hands dirty every day creating things that the community needs are more spiritually advanced than any robed man on a throne.

I agree with your view but please edit the image so that we don't see the intimate contact between him and the child.

The kissy Dalilama is the product of having too much time philosophizing and not enough time doing productive work with productive peoole.  Let this be a psychological lesson in why people do what they do to survive.

So it is a bit funny that John Lansing is now cited complaining about NPR being labeled "state-affiliated media" on Twitter, given that he has devoted his life to promulgating US state-affiliated media. NPR receives funding from the US government, consistently advances the information interests of the US government, and is routinely run by professional propagandists of the US government. You could spend hours of your life just reading through Fair.org's "NPR" section to see the many, many ways that platform has exhibited wild biases to grease the wheels of the US empire. If NPR is not state-affiliated media, then nobody is.
