I used the phrase "Please Stay on Paths Fragile Vegetation" as a way to build a system of notes based on each letter of each word.  There's 6 small "movements" in the piece - one for each word.  In addition, I recorded a short walk through the woods just after a snow fall.  I was trying to stay off of the vegetation, but had to cross several small piles of sticks that gave way under foot.  There is a guided walking meditation obscured underneath some of the notes.  This track was intended for inclusion in the Disquiet Junto Project #0528 - Landscape Architecture. We're in the final countdown to British Home Secretary Priti Patel's decision on the fate of Julian Assange, with the WikiLeaks founder's extradition to the United States due to be approved or rejected by the end of the month. Joe Lauria has a new article out with Consortium News on the various pressures that Patel is being faced with from both sides of this history-making issue at this crucial time.

And I can't stop thinking, as this situation comes to a boil, about how absurd it is that the US empire is working to set a precedent which essentially outlaws information-sharing that the US doesn't like at the same time western news media are full of hand-wringing headlines about the dangerous threat of "disinformation".

This track started out as an experiment on the number 2600 and the concept of "phreaking" as suggested by the Disquiet Junto Project 0542 (see below).

But as the music developped these initial inspirations were lost, and the track evolved into a description of the happy state of being boarded by a pirate of love - a pirate you already secretly love...

Yesterday midnight, after I got the email , I dared to sing some tracks improvising harmonies in C major.
It was fun, I did some serious Melodyne, particularly on the first basic tracks (2 of them) then two more falsetto improvisations and a 5th track using pitch shift for some extreme lows.
