On the way home tonight I created the three melodies in my head, one in 5/8, the next in 6/8 and the last one in 7/8. I looped them together played at the same time (133 beats per minutes) played mellotron, and added the effects after. Quite pleased with this, fairly quick experiment, the patterns reminds me of early Matt Johnson / The The, the kind of post-punk psychedelia he did in his early recordings.

What would it look like to be on the wrong side of history? If there were a mass atrocity taking place presently which history will end up judging harshly in the future, and you were supporting the wrong side of it, what signs might you expect to see that that's the case?

Well, I imagine you'd probably be seeing terrible news about what's happening coming out every day that under normal circumstances would cause you to cry out in horror, but then you'd be getting a bunch of words and stories from your side explaining why those self-evidently terrible things are actually not what they appear to be.

If Israel's position were based on truth and morality it wouldn't be churning out a nonstop deluge of obvious lies.

Someone uploaded one of those viral "help identify this racist jerk" clips featuring a man accosting a street vendor with awful Islamophobic vitriol, and it turned out he was the former Deputy Director in the Office of Israel and Palestinian Affairs for the US State Department.
