barren yet sanguine

This project, along with a selection of other solo pieces, has been in the works for over a year now, and is my first non-collaborative release since Physical Acoustics. During this time I've done a lot of reflecting on my musical process and the kind of work I'd like to do in the future, and I feel this song incorporates elements from both sides of this transition! Cyrus the Great — The Eternal King

Cyrus the Great, the founder of the Persian Empire, is remembered not only as a mighty conqueror but as a just and visionary ruler. He united nations with wisdom and fairness, earning the title of "The Father of Human Rights."

His legacy lives on through the Cyrus Cylinder, an ancient inscription written in cuneiform, often regarded as the world’s first declaration of human rights. In it, Cyrus proclaimed freedom of religion, the right to return to one’s homeland, and respect for all cultures.

To this day, the spirit of Cyrus stands as a timeless symbol of justice, freedom, and eternal greatness.

On the black gloss a ray of hope.
The thickened air trembled.
I threw off my shabby clothes
And ran over the abyss.

White waves like sheep,
Pearls sparkle in the fleece.
Moons wander above and below,
The shores remain in the distance.

I do not feel, I do not see the body.
I am made up entirely of moths.
My soul, like a girl, blushed
From the first sincere verses.

Pregnant moons look
Through the ripples of unimaginable arcades,
As I run, immeasurably young
And plunge into a meteor shower.

Love, with the radiance of freedom,
Penetrated through the tight fabric
Of my wretched reality,
Having burned my earthly rags.

And I saw:
– It is too early,
It has only just begun.
My wound has not yet opened,
And the warm rain has not yet poured down.

The album "Ashes Bloom: Dark vs Light" is a double story told through sound.
The first half — Darkness — carries the weight of broken hearts, shadows, and fading echoes.
The second half — Light — reflects the same emotions in a brighter, more intimate way, like flowers rising from ashes.

Each track exists in duality: one dramatic, one alive. Together, they create a journey through loss, transformation, and rebirth — a mirror of a soul rediscovering itself.

This is not just music. It’s a confession, a haunting dream, and a gentle resurrection.
