Here's the live recording of my breakfast set from the 2B1 gathering out in the middle of the Mojave Desert, CA. The hot sun was shining over this set from 8am-11:30am. Hope you feel some of the desert vibes from that very special morning.

Goldcap - Special Breakfast Set Live @ 2B1 [Mojave Desert, CA] (9-20-2014)

In honor of the 1.5 million souls who were lost in the Armenian Genocide of 1915, I've prepared a 2 hour compilation showcasing some of my favorite Armenian songs & ballads. This will not make easy listening for most, as it ventures into somber hymns and percussion driven dances, as well as some informative narratives.

On a personal level, I am dedicating this mix to my great grandfather, Nishan Panosian, who fought in the Armenian resistance group known as the Fedayis. He was one of the handful of men to serve under Murad Pasha, fighting to defend his homeland and his people from the tyrannical Ottoman Empire.

To this day the Turkish government denies all claims of a Genocide having taken place, and the United States is reluctant to accept it from fear of damaging it's alliances with Turkey.

This April 24th marks the 100 year Centennial, and the last chance for these atrocities to be recognized as a genocide before the history books are closed on this matter forever.

No matter what the political outcome of this year bring. Our voices will echo throughout eternity.

Sunrise set recorded live at the Dakar Music Festival on November 11, 2017. Spending 10 days in this African wonder was a truly incredible experience. From playing underneath the African Renaissance Monument, visiting the small island of Goree, gazing upon the wildlife at the Bandia reserve, and befriending so many wonderful locals, Senegal will remain close to my heart throughout this lifetime. Kasheme is definitely one of those performances I look forward to every year. Mostly because they allow me to play absolutely anything i see fit.

This Zurich based family started me out in their apartment living room 3 years ago with only a handful of people joining me for the journey. This year I joined them in their new location; a bar/cafe/record store. 

Once again, only an intimate group of people were able to join us. As we were all sat, or laying on comfortable couches and pillows, silence took the room and we began to share a very special night together. 

Myself, being a fan of diverse music from many genres, decades, and countries, I am always honored to share that other side of my collection with an open minded audience.

I sincerely hope you enjoy this selection of music which is a very small portion of what I listen to on my day to day.
