I wrote this song the first time I was living in Australia. I'm singing lead and an accompanied by my bandmates from my bluegrass band Cornbread.

The first notes of this song came to me in May 2022, just after composing “Même si tout s'arrête”. Perhaps this explains a certain resemblance in the way they were constructed, namely vintage synth chords which serve as support for the melody and a theme speaking of a love story. But the comparison stops there because the two titles really each have their own character and identity which distinguish them from each other without hesitation.
This song was in the works for almost a year, before I wrote the lyrics last May, and recorded it. Then my friend Freddie from MTM Production put his touch to re-mix and master this title, giving it some punch and all the necessary dynamics. Freddie, thank you again for all the experience and time you give to my creations. In my eyes, it is of inestimable value.

Calligraphic artist: Nonin Chowaney (passed away July 29, 2022). Soto Zen priest and brush calligrapher. Permission was granted for me to use the symbol Dec. 11, 2012. At that time I believe he was abbot of the Nebraska Zen Center in Omaha.

It's the month for some dark music! 🎃
The lyrics to this song is a poem that my friend, Keith Dorman had published in 1993 called Commission. When I first read it I thought wow, this is dark! And it stuck with me ever since.
Keith kindly gave me permission to use the poem for a track. 
I blended a pitch shift in with my vocals whilst I recited the poem as I didn't want it to sound like myself as I wanted it to sound more horror movie vibe! 
Anyway, hope you all enjoy a rare vocal performance from myself.
