Golpe was born in 1987 and was interested in music since very young age. He found his passion for Techno at the age of 15 as a regular partygoer. So after sometime he started playing at some computer dj software. In 2003 he decided to buy his own decks. He began with everyday hard practicing and as he says, “finding his own style- finding himself in music”. He got totally addicted to music. After several months he already got the opportunity to play at smaller parties which gave him a lot of experience. He named himself GoLPe which means Hit or Stroke and these words basically describe what his music is about. It is just totally full of passion, fun and energy. He always puts all his feelings and moods into his sets. Despite his young age he was already playing at big events with very famous events and clubs as a Apokalypsa, Technomasters, Roxy, MetroKlub, etc. He has been a member of www.hardtechno.cz since 2005 and has been playing regularly in many clubs all over the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, Croatia and Germany. In 2007 was invited to participate at Czech most famous techno event in BRNO called Apokalypsa, as one of the youngest djs who ever played at this event. Playing wasnt for Golpe enough, so from 2008 he started produce techno and hardtechno, in 2009 he started get first published release on Naked records. After first release began collaborations with other producers and other labels what gives to Golpe knowledge. He already release tracks on labels as a Animasola, Audiocode, Cannibal Society, Distorted recs. and etc. In 2013 Golpe got change for tour in south America, specifically in Venezuela and Colombia, which gives him such big experience after several years of playing in Europe.

Very happy to share the recording of my live set at Stone Techno Festival last summer.  Summer was full of highlights and this show was definitely one of them, with such a great energy and crowd at the stage hosted by Fuse. 

Technology will never be able to recreate a vibe on a dancefloor (I hope), but those who were there that day know it was something very special.

Blue Hour — a time of day similar to dawn, dusk and the three stages of twilight. It doesn't have one definition, and its colour is neutral, not blue. Like Luke Standing's alias 'Blue Hour' suggests, his sound doesn't slip into any one category.

The Berlin-based producer, DJ and head of the ‘Blue Hour Music' record label blurs the lines between Acid Techno, old school Rave, Breakbeat, Jungle and Leftfield to create a mirage of hazy euphoria and explore a narrative of timeless music unbound by geography and scene.

Hailing from the UK, Luke discovered dance music in Brighton and London where, as a teenager, the ferocious notes of DnB and Jungle drew him towards raves operating in each city. Quintessential artists and labels of time started the foundations of Luke's vinyl collection before reaching wider with UK Bass, Techno, Trance and IDM slipping into his record bag.

As a student in the thralls of Bristol's 2007 club scene, Luke started to DJ, promote parties and produce music under the names 'Furesshu' and 'Esoteric'. A handful of releases went out under these monikers marking Luke's entry point into production but as the Bristol circuit drew him into a cross-pollination of Dubstep and Techno, his ear inevitably turned. Catching the bug for Techno, Luke frequently visited Berlin to satisfy an urge to discover more artists and events aligned with the genre.

With a natural progression to the soundscape of Techno, Luke relocated to Berlin in 2011 and soon after launched the resolutely independent project 'Blue Hour' and label of the same name. Several years into the project, Luke has released pivotal records with a distinctive sound driven by the spirit and energy of the '90s, and in turn, welcomed into some of the most prolific spaces worldwide including Berghain, Fold, fabric, Blitz and Robert Johnson.

With an ethos to evolve and support compelling artists, the door of 'Blue Hour Music' opens up, releasing the work of Alpha Tracks and Dold along the way, as well as gaining the reputation of a respected and important outlet for Techno. The acclaimed 'Remixed' series on the 'Blue Hour Music' imprint saw Steffi, Pangaea, Hector Oaks and many more re-working his music. Now completed, new remix projects and collaborative ventures take focus in its place, including collaborative releases with Copenhagen's Fast Forward and UTE from Oslo. In late 2020, Luke reestablished the 'Tracing Xircles' project with Berlin-based producer A-JX, where the pair mutate UK and Detroit techno flavours with a retro-futuristic twist.

2021 signified the launch of a new sub-label together with Swedish DJ Philippa Pacho. The label called positive source "aims to push progressive attitudes in dance music while paying homage to our roots in early club culture.”

Luke's personal creative output continues to develop and expand with solo, collaborative projects, compilation contributions and commissioned remixes, connecting him to the ever-changing landscape of Techno and its sprawling sub-genres.

It's safe to say that the sound of ‘Blue Hour’ and his respective labels are weaved into the expansive realm of the electronic music community but Luke strikes an unparalleled chord within it.

Dilemma Podcast 146 Mariam Croft from La Rioja (Spain).
Mariam Croft is a Spanish DJ and producer based in La Rioja, whose passion for music began at a very young age when she studied at the music conservatory, eventually becoming an elementary piano teacher.

Her first encounters with electronic music took place in the 2000s, combining her vinyl sets with some live performances.

She has shared events with renowned DJs such as The Advent, Cristian Varela, Misstress Barbara, Pet Duo, Gayle San, Marco Bailey, Kazu Kimura, Fatima Hajji, and many others. She has played in major venues like Fabric, La Metro, Universal, La Real, Basic, Pacha, and many more across Spain.

She has produced music with prestigious record labels such as Pornographic Recordings, Virgin Records, Kiko Vinilo Rec, The Other Face, Survivor Rec, and her own label, Sasa2 Recordings, which was exclusively released on vinyl.

Currently, she performs vinyl-only sets, digital sets, or a combination of both.
