Motivation

When the worst of things has happened, 
And the rain goes on and on, 
Still the kids play cricket in the rubble all summer long…

I don’t mind admitting that they went through hell and back, 
I guess that I’m proud of that… 

I guess we just remember what we choose,

Now the best of things has happened,

Little Bird Sing

A couple of new songs. First one was written in September there, the other one in October. All parts written, recorded, performed and mixed by Josh Healy.

Both tracks home recorded to 4 track cassette tape using a tascam portastudio 7, with some digital overdubs added later to both tracks.

London/Leipzig-based based musician/songwriter/producer Gon von Zola is a third culture kid with a UK band family and a Welsh riot grrrl songwriting partner. 100% DIY on his records (except for his up-coming band single ‘Concrete Heaven’). Songwriting friends and collaborators with Sue Denim of The Mighty Boosh and Robots in Disguise. Wrecking stages with his live band of friends. 

His debut single “Blue Is...” was released in June 2018. The UK Unsigned Guide named the song as its track of the month, and it gained lots of media coverage. The follow up single “LDN LPZ” was described as “21st century glam by one of the capital’s most intriguing new prospects” (Mark Beaumont, NME). 

Gon von Zola’s music has ben championed by BBC 6 and Amazing Radio. Past shows include sets at Glastonbury Festival and End Of The Road.
