Microwolf - It Will Fall (Gonzelvis Remix)

Microwolf is the nom de plume of Benjamin van Vliet, a Dutch DIY singer/producer currently residing in Tilburg. After spending 7 years as the lead singer and songwriter for anti-folk band Moi, le voisin, he created Microwolf in 2012 as an outlet for his more intimately radical ideas. 

He worked for 5 years on his densely layered and deeply emotional debut album 'You Better Go Now' (released in 2015 by Dutch indie label esc.rec), a process so exhausting that he took a break halfway to create the sparse mini album 'You Are The Everything', using mostly field recordings and a capella singing. The acclaimed Wisconsin based label Lost Tribe Sound released 'My Cauliflower Ears' in 2020, an exercise in slowcore and lo-fi hiphop influences. 

In the meantime, the duo Microplaza was formed with multi-instrumentalist Arno Breuer, combining Breuer's ultra-concise soundscapes with haiku inspired lyrics and melodies by Van Vliet.

2023 will see the release of Microwolf's fourth and final collection of original songs 'Changelings' on Tiny Room.

Esc.rec. is a small, critically acclaimed record label for adventurous music, founded in 2004 by Harco Rutgers in Deventer, NL. Quality standards are high and musical preferences broad.
