The latest installment in our free download series welcomes Nick Warren and Nicolas Rada with their much requested take on Depeche Mode’s ‘The Things You Said’. As frequent studio partners since remixing Upercent’s ‘Pulsacions’ in 2017, Nick Warren and Nicolas Rada have become one of the progressive scene’s most beloved production teams. The duo have built a strong synergy over what has been a six-year creative swell, showcasing their original material on Nick’s The Soundgarden imprint, while also recording a string of impressive remixes for DAYS like NIGHTS, Get Physical, Proton Music and many more trendsetting imprints. Always looking for new avenues to test their creative chops, the duo took to re-imagining Depeche Mode’s ‘The Things You Said’ earlier this year. Released in 1987 as part of the band’s ‘Music for the Masses’, an album widely regarded to encompass the best styles from both ‘Black Celebration’ and ‘Violator’, ‘The Things You Said’ has stood the test of time and remains a high point on the seminal and much loved long-player. Nick Warren and Nicolas Rada have combined their extensive forces once again, knocking out a near nine-minute epic rendition which has not only been a staple in Nick’s recent sets, but also finds the duo landing more additive ever. The latest edition of our free download series welcomes Hugo Cantarra and PLN with their rework of ‘Intro’ by The XX. Hailing from France, Hugo Cantarra has been a fixture of the house music underground for the better part of a decade. On the strength of early releases via Armada and SIZE Records, Hugo established a sound that was both memorable and club-effective, propelling him to subsequent projects via Anjunadeep, Cr2, Siona Records and Ultra; amongst others. Now a staple of the melodic house scene, the French artist has the distinction of racking up 41 millions streams and 1.5 million shazams, while remixing the likes of Danny Howard, Eli & Fur, Gorgon City and Technotronic, in turn earning the praise of Adriatique, Blondish, Camelphat, Chris Avantgarde, Kevin De Vries and Vintage Culture. Also a well-travelled DJ, Hugo has shared the booth with a bevy of top international tastemakers in Adam Beyer, Carl Cox, Guy Gerber, David Guetta, Fatboy Slim, Meduza, Roger Sanchez and WhoMadeWho. A highlight and much requested track across Hugo’s 2024 gigs has been a rework of ‘Intro’ by The XX. Crazy isn’t it, in a blink of an eye it’s December again. For me the busiest month with 3 different sets. Closing out 2024 in style and starting the December edition with something different coming from Limpopo in South Africa - Beekay Monalyzza with 'Umphefumulo Wam 2'., Jan Blomqvist lay his hands on Booka Shade & Gab Rhome’s ‘The Sun’, Fideles on the remix duties for WhoMadeWho & Kölsch ‘ Heartless’, ‘Falling’ from Brina Knauss’ EP Heaven, CamelPhat with ‘Deep Inside’ taken from their B-Side EP, something tropical by Nora En Pure, one more from John Summit’s Album ‘Comfort In Chaos’ and for this one he teamed up with Elderbrook, BLR coming in hot with his Afro Summer Mix of Estivas ‘Fine Day’, Massano and Stephan Bodzin joint forces for Simulate Rec., a updated version of Cosmic Gate’s very first release ‘The Drums’, also Dosem out did himself once again with his interpretation of Gouryella’s (Tiesto & Ferry Corsten) classic ‘Tenshi’, Damiano von Eckert on Cocoon Records with ‘Steam’, Kölsch remixed Blue Boy’s ‘Remember Me’, ‘Dark Matter’ taken from Konstantin Sibold’s EP Lost In Space which is out now on Drumcode Recordings, closing out this edition and the year as well with Deadmau5 and his new tracks Re_Jaded.

Here’s the last mix for 2024 and a little look back on the past 12 months. Of course I love everything I play and it’s always difficult and a constant back and forth with the track selection. So here are some of my favorites I think worth another spin. Also, I included a few tracks I had planned to play but never made it into the mix because it just didn’t fit or for a timely manner.

Year Book Mix 2024 - A Year In Tunes

Hello and welcome everyone, its the first edition of the brand new year 2025. I hope you had some spare time and gave my December sets a listen. 

January has already seen so many amazing releases. Diving into the new year with a Pink Floyd classic which received a remix with team effort by Hernan Cattaneo, Jamie Stevens and Anton Tumas which is also available to download for free on SoundCloud, REZarin remixed one of the most iconic and still popular classic ‘Cafe Del Mar’ by Energy 52 which was released 1993 on Sven Väth’s first label Eye-Q Records, Yotto personally took responsibility for the first release of the new year on his record label Odd One Out with ‘Polar’, Estiva is back with another cool progressive banger and this time with a French touch called ‘Parlez-Vous’, Robert Nickson’s first release back in 2004 ‘Spiral’ got a beautiful remix by Forty Cats, Joris Voorn again this time with Jan Blomqvist for ‘Flora’, Dubfire and Sharam’s project Deep Dish released a new remix EP of their classic ‘Say Hello’ and I choose the ‘Deep Dish Goes Peak Time’ version, back on Nora En Pure’s label Purified Corren Cavini with ‘Daydream’, if you listened to the December 24 edition you might remember ARTBAT with ‘Hollow’ - well the man with the hat -  Kölsch added his own, very individual touch to it, Gorgon City and Max Styler teamed up for a peak time banger ’Touch’ on Gorgon City’s own imprint REALM, progressive house at it absolutely finest - Regina Picone with ‘Hight Spirit’, last but not least taken from Lane 8 new and 5th studio album ‘Childish’.

Happy new year everyone, much appreciation for listening, at this point 10000 plays is just a month or two away with almost 7000 minutes of music. 

I'll be back in late February and I already have many great new tunes pre-ordered.

Bonjour everyone! Even though February is short, it doesn't cut short on new music. So welcome, this is the brand spanking new edition for February 25. Expect a 2 hour ride with the best and latest of progressive house and techno. Kicking off the journey with something quite special for me and I’m super excited to finally share this with everyone - it’s my own bootleg of CamlePhat’s opening track ‘Hope' of their 2023 Album ’Spiritual Milk’ with the vocals of Max Milner, back after quite a while one of my favorite French musicians - Sébastien Léger, Rampa remixed Tame Impala and Justice track ‘Neverender’, Kaz James turned Bob Marleys ‘Sun Is Shining’ into a fun summer remix, a new track by Guy J which took a little while to grow on me but ultimately I fell in love with this melodic progressive sound, Lane 8 with a B-side track from his Childish(ish) project ‘Walk The Plank’, Nora En Pure - who became a strong stable here - with ‘Polar Lights’, Signum himself dug up one of his own classic and Theme Song of the 1999 Comedy Movie - Kevin & Perry Go Large ‘Coming On Strong’ and got joined by Korolova and Eynka, Matt Cerf is back with a new interesting collaboration with Petr Leško from Czechia and the vocals of Matt’s long time companion Jaren with ‘My Way Home’ on Anjunabeats, Tiëstos classic ‘Lethal Industry’ from his debut Album ‘In My Memory’ received a update by Rose Ringed, Matt Fax causes some rather nostalgic memories with his remix of the 2012 collaboration by ARTY, Nadia Ali & BT ‘Must Be The Love’, wrapping up this journey with a 10 minute beauty by Kölsch taken from the Remix-EP of Icelands electro trio Gus Gus of their track ‘Within You’ originally released in 2011 as part of their Album ‘Arabian Horse’.

I’m already preparing and putting aside some special stuff for the March MMW 3 Hour Extended Special.

Expect a 4-hour journey filled with the best in House and Progressive. Something exotic from Indian native Browncoat called Solace on Spectrum Records, Marten Lou remixed Elderbrook & Shimza’s afro-house track ‘Places’, Booka Shade finally released a club version of their track ‘Save Me’ with Jono McCleery, Moojo created his own version of Eminems ‘Mockingbird’, Eli Nissan with the very fitting track named ‘Miami’, a double header by newcomer Fabian Schumann on Euphonic Visions Records, Hugo Cantarra & PLN remixed ‘Intro’ from The XX and its free to grab here (https://soundcloud.com/hugocantarra/free-download-the-xx-intro-hugo-cantarra-pln-remix-paf123) , another double header this time by Jan Blomqvist - first Peer Kusiv for ‘The Robot Test’ and another one with Pretty Pink called ‘Euphoria’, Amtrac on Anjunadeep with ‘Everyone’, HUGEL & Diplo’s track ‘Forever’ received a Meduza remix, Yotto with ‘Illusion’ taken from the Odd Ones V3 compilation, again Yotto with his side project Something Good with the vocals of Babara Tucker ‘Most Precious Love’, regulars Trilucid with ‘See Through You’ and ‘Calling’ remixed by M.O.S., Sebastien Leger’s ‘Koi Fish’ which I squeezed in last minute, veterans Hernan Cattaneo & Paul Oakenfold with ‘London To Buenos Aires’ which my friend James and I edited with a accapela of the Underground Sound Of Lisbon - So Get Up, Nora En Pure & Richard Walters with ‘Protected’, Colyn & Innellea teamed up for a rather trancey one called ‘Set Me Free’, Marsh & Sasha with ‘Dead Synthy’ on Anjunadeep and another Marsh remix for the classic by John Digweed Nick Muir ‘Heaven Scent’, Einmusik & Solee celebrating their 300 release with ‘We Talk About Dreams’, former Miami Heat player Rony Seikaly with something fun and groovy - ‘Out Of Time’, ARTBAT with a festival banger ‘Afterparty’, Rebūke & Deadmau5 teamed up for ‘Endless’ and what I love on this track is that it sounds actually 50/50 from both, Joris Voorn & Tom Walker with ‘Burn’, someone who’s more know in trance Ørjan Nilsen with a nice proggy one ‘Between Sheets’, the timeless classic ‘Saltwater’ by Chicane & Moya Brennan got updated by Clapton and of course so much more.

March 25 (MMW Extended Special)

Welcome back everyone, it’s the near end for April. I carefully selected the best in Progressive and melodic House. Tiësto teamed up with Dyzen for a rather quiter one, YOTTO went with Eli & Fur in the studio for a beautiful track ‘Somebody To Love’, Rinzen remixed Nelly Furtado’s classic ‘Say It Right’, a remix of Bedouin I heard them playing during MMW closing party, regular guest on the show Corren Cavini with Chris Howard for a melancholic tune ‘Tell Me’, Trikk released a EP with the German techno marching band MEUTE, Kölsch & ANNA created a peak time banger ‘Evocation’, Ferry Corsten’s classic ‘Punk’ got a new update by KASIA, , Hot Since 82 joined forces with Tomaz & Filterheadz to get their classic ’Sunshine’,  Âme & Curses’ ’Shadow Of Love’ received and breakbeat remix by the Echonomist.

I have already a few things in the in my playlist for the May edition. But for now let's enjoy April 25.
