Pontifexx é o nome por trás do projeto de música eletrônica do brasileiro Tomas Pontifex, que, aos 22 anos, consolida o seu nome entre um dos principais artistas do gênero no país.

Sempre arrastando multidões por onde passa, em 2019 o DJ se apresentou nos maiores eventos e festivais do Brasil, como o Lollapalooza, onde conquistou o título de artista mais jovem de todo o line-up, o Universo Paralello, um dos festivais mais tradicionais do país, até o clube Green Valley, considerado o nº1 do mundo segundo a revista britânica DJ Mag. Pontifexx já dividiu o palco com renomados DJs da cena nacional e internacional, como Martin Garrix, Dj Snake, Steve Aoki, Alesso, Kungs, NERVO, Bakermart, Vintage Culture, Chemical Surf, dentre muitos outros. 

Somando mais de 30 milhões de plays, somente no Spotify, entre seus 10 principais lançamentos, Pontifexx lançou “Rising Sun”, em parceria com o duo sul-africano Goldfish e o vencedor do Grammy Gustavo Bertoni e produziu o primeiro EP de sua carreira, intitulado “The Light”, ao lado do também brasileiro Deadline. Mas, foi lançando “Feelings”, ao lado dos artistas Zeeba e Le Dib, pela STMPD RCRDS, que o jovem artista conquistou o suporte do dono da própria gravadora Martin Garrix, além do holandês Hardwell e o sueco Alesso.

Todo esse reconhecimento sedimenta o sucesso de Pontifexx e evidencia sua versatilidade sonora em comandar as pick-ups e envolver pistas de dança dos mais diferentes eventos.

Pontifexx is the artistic name of the Brazilian electronic music project of Tomas Pontifex, who, at 22, is among one of the leading artists of his genre in the country.

Always dragging crowds wherever he plays, in 2019 the DJ performed at the biggest events and festivals in Brazil, such as Lollapalooza São Paulo, where he was the youngest artist on the line-up to perform on that edition; Universo Paralello, one of the most traditional festivals in the world; Green Valley club, considered world number 1 according to the British magazine DJ Mag; and Laroc Club, which is also in the same ranking occupying the 25th position. Not to mention, his last tour, “Summer Feelings”, was a blast, where he went through more than 10 Brazilian states in a few weeks. In addition, Pontifexx shared the stage with renowned national and international DJs such as Alesso, Kungs, NERVO, Bakermart, Vintage Culture, Chemical Surf, among many others.

Adding more than 30 million plays on Spotify among his top 10 releases, Pontifexx released “Rising Sun” in partnership with South African duo Goldfish and Grammy winner Gustavo Bertoni and produced the first EP of his career, titled "The Light", in collab with Deadline. But it was by releasing “Feelings”, alongside Zeeba and Le Dib on STMPD RCRDS that the young artist got the support of record label owner Martin Garrix, along with Dutch star Hardwell and Belgian star Yves V.

All this recognition underpins Pontifexx’s success, showing his musical versatility while performing and involving dance floors of different events.
